Rather than fetching President Vitani, the Guards went straight to Colonel Jamall Mohatu, commanding officer of the military garrison at Pride Rock and one of the most physically imposing lions in all of Africa. The Colonel rallied four ten-lion squads, then proceeded to Godi's location. When he got there, Godi had been waiting about fifteen minutes. "My name is Colonel Jamall Mohatu." He stated calmly, though you could tell that he was not at all pleased that there was a outlander in the territory he was in charge of defending. "I assume you are Godi." He then added, hiding a question as a statement.

'Correct Sir.' He politely began. 'As honored as I am to be graced by your oh so highly sought after attention, I believe I requested an audience with the President.' He joked, slowly trying to wind up the bulkier Lion. 'I have such urgent news that only her ears are apparently qualified to listen to.' He rambled on. 'Not that you are in anyway not worthy, oh no, you I hear are an exceptional soldier, and a frail creature such as myself wouldn't dream of insulting you... Alas, this is Vitani's news, I do hope she gets it soon.' He finished his little game. Unusual for an Outlander to not resort to petty insults when trying to aggrevate someone, or try at all when so heavily out powered. 'Not interrupting anything are we Colonel?' [100 posts ]

Colonel Mohatu simply sighed as Godi prattled on. Once the smaller lion had finished, he frowned and growled quietly at the outlander. "President Vitani is currently engaged in several highly important meetings. You will NOT disturb her." He ordered, looking down at Godi. "And yes, you are interrupting something. My mate is due to give birth today, and rather than being there for her, I am here talking to you. So I would advise you to be very, very respectful."

'Oh how splendid.' The Outlander half-sarcastically exclaimed. 'I'm sure you'd be able to take a day off under such important circumstances, surely. You're men and women are capable? Without you I mean.' Putting the question together as awkwardly as he could Godi switched the subject before Jamall had a chance to respond. 'Ah! So the exalted President is busy, well I'm sure we can wait here.' He imposed. 'It's better than you lot sending us out there.' He joked, making the most distastful and obscure of referances as he laughed in a twisted manner.

Jamall's growl grew somewhat louder, but before he could respond to Godi's rather sarcastic question, the little coward had switched subjects. The Colonel sighed and shook his head, getting very annoyed with Godi and his crew of misfits. "Look Godi, I'm going to cut you a break because I feel sorry for you outlanders. I'm going to take you to the visitor barracks, and provide you and your crew with a decent meal. You can stay at the barracks until Vitani will see you." He said quietly, deciding to at least try to be friendly to the fellow. Like his father always said, it's never a bad idea to make a friend out of a enemy.

Godi's upper lip quivered slightly before he regained his composure. 'Oh how kind of you Colonel.' He wimsically replied. 'I speak for my men when we thank you and the Pridelanders for your unrivalled hospitality and acceptance.' He let a slight pause silence the air. 'If it's not too much to ask, could and some of your 'disciples' escort us to the renouned barracks. It's just being not from round here, I'm looking to minimise any chance of us being attacked, don't you agree Colonel?'

The Colonel nodded, then turned to face his men. "Bravo, Delta, Foxtrot, you are all dismissed. Baker Squad, you're with me." He barked, marshalling his troops. A few moments later, the first three squads were heading to their home base, leaving only Colonel Mohatu and ten of the finest soldiers in the Pride Lands to escort Godi. "Godi, follow me. It will only take us twenty minutes to reach the barracks." He stated, turning and walking along a well-trodden path leading to the barracks, which were located in a network of caves under some hills near Pride Rock.

Godi shifted his eyes at every aspect of the underground system, taking in all he could. He dropped back and whispered to a number of his men in a mumbled voice or a new Outlander dialect. They got a mixed bag of looks from the innards of the cave, some of confusion some of hate. They failed to phase Godi, annoyingly to him, as he had failed to aggrevate Jamall. Several calls and gestures were thrown at the Outlanders from young inexperineced soldiers down in the catacombs who had mistaken them for intruders. Godi took a look down one of the off shooting tunnels where he saw various creatures locked in, amongst them a few Outland lions, some which he recognised, but made no effort to offer them any comfort.

Godi and his companions were soon moved out of the lower Barracks and into the more comfortable, more private Visitor's barracks. Once they were situated in a fairly large and well-lit den that was apparently used for meetings, a pair of Guards brought in a freshly killed Zebra, along with several jugs of water. Jamall sat in the entrance to the room, having a hushed conversation with a Major and two Sergeant Majors. After a minute of speaking, the two Sergeant Majors headed back to their duty stations, and the Major headed to Pride Rock, undoubtedly to inform President Vitani of Godi's presence.

Godi seated himself amongst his men as they were presented with a bounty of meat. 'Chow down men.' He told them as they began to tear and swallow the food. All around, lions and lionesses glanced at the area in which the Outlander where situated, Godi, who was the only one eating his food properly and not tearing it up and spraying pieces of it everywhere. He returned the disgusted glances and the watchers turned back to attend there business. The Outlanders were far from use to Prideland prepared meat, but it hardly proved to be an acquired taste as they consumed it ravenously. Waiting for the President Godi slowly picked at his portion.

The Major had soon arrived at Pride Rock and informed President Vitani, though whether she decided to speak with Godi or not remained to be seen.
Colonel Mohatu more or less ignored the Outlander's eating habits. He kept quiet until the crew had finished their meal, then he spoke up. "Godi, what exactly is it you wish to speak with President Vitani about?" He asked calmly, standing up and looking over at the outlander.

After hearing of this new person Godi, Vitani promptly said to Kopa, "General Kopa, do you wish to reveal Buhati Province's change of heart to the Outland ambassador?"

Kopa slowly shook his head, a slightly concerned expression on his face. "No, right now, this must remain a secret from the So'Kar. Until all Buhatian forces can be recalled to our home, we cannot risk the So'Kar learning of our shift of alliances. If they did, they would send a army, and we would be unable to defend ourselves." He replied sadly, clearly wishing that he could publicly announce the Buhati Province's change of heart.

Vitani nodded solemnly. She then said to Kopa, "Then, General Kopa, if and when the So'kar are informed, I promise to dedicate a batallion of are finest troops to protect your population."

"Thank you, President Vitani. However, I don't think that will be necessary. Once it is deployed on our borders, the Buhatian Army is more than capable of fighting and winning a defensive war against the So'Kar." Kopa replied, a very faint smile on his face.

((Eeep! Late Delay! Sorry!))
Tullus looked up and sighed a little. "Im Tullus. I am guessing you are Sky? The lioness outside are very loud...." he said soft. He took his paw and touched his ear. It wasnt bleeding anymore....but it hurt. he sighed again and looked at Sky with a small smile. This was different. He couldnt believe he was called a spy! Dont you think if he was a spy..he would have hidden a little better? He was sort of a big lion. He wouldnt just sit in the middle of the grasslands. Sometimes...pridelanders could be OVER protective...but better safe than sorry..right?

The Outlander 'ambassador' didn't take to kindly to what he saw as 'an intrusion on his important matters'. He dropped his food and pivoted his head towards Jamall. 'Excuse me Colonel but that is for the President's ears. No doubt it should reach you eventually, but for now my lips are sealed. I'm sure you can understand.' He spoke, concealing all. He took a quick look at his disorganised band of hooligans. Old, young, big, small, strong, skinny, it was a mixed bag to say the least. When he compared them to the ordered, almost single minded Prideland troops he sighed. He did believe in peace, but wanted his land to be able to sustain itself and without force it currently didn't have the resources to do so any other way. He wanted the Outlands to be as bountiful as the plains of the other prides, with economic structure and a parliament, he wanted to compete with other prides not just in military size but in other ways and to do so drastic measures needed to be taken. The choices that faced him were both difficult, he could either try to gain absolute control of the Outlands and begin to build them up, or destroy each pride and bring them down to his level.

Vitani smiled feebly at Kopa. After a few awkward moments, she replied, "Well, then, General. I'm still going to offer you political asylum. For now, would you liek to accompany me to the meeting with this 'Godi' anyway?"

Kopa smiled faintly and nodded. "Yes, I would like that very much, Ma'am." He replied, adressing Vitani as if he was adressing a superior officer. Of course, to Kopa, Vitani was now, in a way, his commanding officer. He stood and waited patiently for Vitani to lead the way, apparently eager to meet this 'Godi'.
Jamall chuckled and slowly shook his head. Godi just didn't realize that when he spoke with Vitani, Jamall would be listening. [Yeesh, short post. Sorry.]

Vitani blushed slightly as she began leading the way down Pride Rock. Unable to conceal her embarassment, she said to Kopa, "General, call me Vitani." With that, she cast him a very wide grin. She remembered that Kitabu wanted to be present at her meetings, so she led the group toward where she knew Kitabu was.
