UPDATE:
I went in for pre-admission registration at the hospital yesterday. *sigh* It did not go good. Remember how I said I get sick sitting up? Well, I almost passed out while my blood was being drawn. They did not allow my husband into the blood lab, so he and my mom sat in the waiting room. (On a side note, my husband just started driving again today....getting some usage of his arm back from a gout flare-up.) Well, anyhow, they started drawing blood, and my vein stopped cooperating. The first vial (out of five) filled halfway before it slowed down. They kept repositioning the needle and making me pump my fist... *groans* The cyst, large as it was, was pressing on my stomach. The next thing I knew, they started freaking out because I started sweating, and turning gray. I explained about the cyst, and they removed the needle and moved me to a reclining chair so I could lay down. After letting me rest about 15 minutes, a different nurse tried. She could not find a vein... She called over another girl, who could not find a vein.... They called over still another girl who found a vein (she said most were damaged from all the poking they've done to me lately), but it was too small for a normal needle. They had to find a butterfly needle. I was still dangerously pale, so they made me lie down a while longer. I was so anxious to go home. Now I dread going to the hospital next Friday for the actual surgery. This hospital totally sucks at IVs as it is...I don't have much confidence in them getting it right. My last two trips they missed twice the first visit and once the second visit. Needless to say between that and the dye IV in radiology, and the botched bloodwork attempts on multiple occasions both in and out of the hospital, most of my veins are already wrecked...

Any chance you can try a different hospital, Knarrly? I hate all hospitals, especially ones with incompetent staff.
Some humor to cheer you up:
You see, what you don't want at a hospital is a doctor that has an accent like the President's. "You see, what we're gonna do here see is we're gonna cut you open and take that there thing out, see?"*
*Feel free to remove that if it freaks you out, Knarrly. Let's all hope the hospital doesn't screw up.

I am posting an update, and will probably not be coming back on for a few more days, as it hurts way too much to type.
I had to stay an extra day in the hospital...
Anyhow, my doctor performed what started as a cyst removal Friday. Unfortunately, the cyst overtook my uterus, and they had to remove the uterus, too. The tested the "cyst" and found it was cancerous. From here on in they are referring to it officially as a tumor, instead. The blood test results were testing for the most common type of Ovarian Cancer, and apparently not the rare type we now know I had.
I am following up with my doctor Wednesday, and will then be passed on to a cancer specialist. Depending on what the final tests on the tumor reveal will tell me my next steps. My doctor seems to think at the very least a hysterectomy, with possibly chemo and/or radiation. (My doctor could not do the hysterectomy himself, as his assistant felt that they might miss the lymph nodes...best to leave it to a cancer specialist.) Nothing is around here, though, so I will have to travel at least an hour away.
Yuck, I am just starting to heal from this and will have to be cut open again.
Well, anyone who prays, keep me in your prayers. My whole family is in shock because they never truly expected me to actually have cancer. For now, I'm just taking this day by day.
