Simba began to walk along side Jamall and Jeshi as the three of them made their way back towards Pride Rock, all the while, listening closely to every word that left Jamall's muzzle.
"Indeed, I noticed her fur color, which gave me the hint that she wasn't from around here. I also know that none of the lionesses in our Pride have had a cub who looked like this. Quite the interesting look, huh Jamall?" Simba said as he watched the young cub curling deeply into Jamall's brown fur.
He smiled as he could see that the young cub was relaxing a bit. The warmth from Jamall's body must have been soothing her stressed figure a bit, making Simba feel a bit more at ease.
"So, you say you just found her in the middle of nowhere, with no other creatures about? Why do you suppose that is? Do you think her mother is...well." Simba began to say, but stopped himself, as he didn't want to upset the young cub, if she happened to overhear him speaking. "Nevermind about that. I think the better question at paw now is, what do we do with her? I have no problems in getting her back to full health, but what exactly are we supposed to do then? If her mother is alive, it would probably be in our best interest, as well as this young cub's, to find her and get her back to her mother ASAP. Am I being to thoughtless with that type of thinking?" Simba inquired as he looked at Jamall for a sign of support or agreement.
Simba took another look at the young cub, now peacefully resting atop his large lion friend. He sighed softly. He hated to see any creature in this state, but he didn't know exactly what to do about it. Simba was always cautious about every new creature that he let into The Pride Lands, and even though this was merely a young lioness cub, he still had to keep in mind that her past was unknown, as was her future at this point in time.

"It is. She's a very unique looking cub." Jamall said, echoing the King's words. He slightly raised one eyebrow as he felt the girl shift, then, nestle into the warm fur covering his back. She really is exhausted. He thought, expression settling into a slight smile as he continued to walk alongside Simba and Jeshi.
"No, sire, you're not being thoughtless, just cautious. As for your original question, well..." He sighed softly and shook his head briefly. While he wanted to tell the king that, in his opinion, the chance of the cub's mother still being alive was incredibly slim, he was going to hold off on that until the child was out of earshot. "I think that after she's been nursed back to health, we should find someone willing to take her in with them for the time being. At least until her mother comes for her." He suggested.
The lion paused for a moment, then continued speaking. "I could take her in. Kings above know that I have plenty of room in the den I sleep in, and I've got plenty of lionesses to go to for help should I run into a problem while caring for her."

Simba smiled at Jamall as he heard what his friend was suggesting.
"Yes, I think that's a reasonable plan. I really don't know who would take her in though..." Simba started to say, until he heard Jamall's willingness to care for the young cub himself. "Oh, you'd be willing to do that Jamall? I guess making you watch cubs all this time really has rubbed off on you, huh?" Simba said in a warm tone.
He knew that Jamall would care well for the young cub, as he could already see that she was slowly growing attached to his fellow lion, or maybe it was just the warmth of his body she was enjoying so much. Either way, it was fine by him.
"Very well than Jamall. I will leave her in your care. I trust that you'll look after her and always have her best interests at heart. I still think I'll have someone go and see if they can track down the where-abouts of her mother though. How about Vitani? She's a skilled tracker if I've ever come across one." Simba spoke again, as the band of lions neared Pride Rock. "I better go inform everyone of what has happened, or at least, the members of the Pride who need to know. I thank you Jamall, for your caring nature and I know this little cub is in good paws. I'll come check on you two in a bit." Simba stated as he turned to give Jeshi a nod before bounding off.

Jamall laughed and returned Simba's smile. "I suppose it has rubbed off a little." He said, turning his head and peering out of the corner of his eye at the cub nestled into his furry back. She is adorable. He thought, before being jostled out of gazing at the sleeping child by Simba's voice.
The lion listened as the king spoke, nodding in agreement with each presented subject. Having the child's best interests at heart would be no problem for Jamall, who's mind tended to be more on others than on himself. After the king finished speaking, the lion spoke just before Simba went off to the den. "OK, I'll be in my den with her. See you later, King Simba!"
Jamall then turned his head to Jeshi, who was walking alongside him. "Hey, I'm gonna dash and get her something to eat. Look me up later, a'ight? See you later, buddy!" He said, before heading towards his private den at a light jog. OK, first, I gotta get her something to eat... I think I might still have some food in my den from last night's meal. After her belly's full, I need to find out her name, and help settle her in.

[Well Taraji is sleeping at the moment and you headed to your den alone with her so I think you should continue Jiang. At least to the point where Taraji wakes up. ]

[OK! Onward, comrades!]
Jamall proceeded to his den, where the lion selected the fluffiest and warmest sleeping pelt he had, and then as gently as possible, he removed Taraji from his shoulders and set the cub upon the soft pelt. Since she didn't wake instantly, he figured he had the time to duck off to one of the corners of his den and grab what was left of last night's zebra. It wasn't much, just a single leg, but it had enough meat to fill her belly, and most of the meat was tender enough for her to eat without him having to tear it up for her. The lion brought the food back, and set it down a few inches off to the side of the pelt.
After pausing a moment, he laid down so that she was nestled between his forepaws again, then gently nuzzled the back of her neck. "Hey, time to wake up, little one."

Taraji was in deep slumber as she noticed someone poking her and a voice telling her to wake up. She had just dreamed about a lion who carried her into a nice warm den and that she would not have to run the whole night again. Slowly she opened her eyes. She was still very exausted and yawned. Then she tried to figure out where she was. It was dark and she layed on a pelt. The surrounding looked exactly like in her dream. To her right and left there were big paws and something soft was touching her neck. She rested her head in the neck and tried to look above to check out what was nuzzling her. First she jerked in a shock seeing the big lion over her but then again he looked like the lion in her dream. Am I still dreaming? She just stared at the big lion unable to speak or move. Her crystal white eyes examined every inch the of his head that was visible in the twilight of the den.

Jamall's large dark blue eyes gazed back into the crystal white orbs belonging to the little cub nestled between his large paws. A smile stretched across his muzzle as she awoke. "Hello again little one." He said softly, careful to keep his voice as soft and gentle as was possible, to make her feel safe. "My name is Jamall. What is your name, child?" He asked, his smile unwavering.

Taraji still starred at the big lion above her. It was not fear that kept her from answering. She felt safe between his paws somehow. She was not entirely sure if this was still a dream or not. Then the - mild but still existing - pain in her stomach made her realize that this was not a dream. But at the same moment she realized that she was not dreaming anymore the feeling of insecurity and shyness returned inside her and she hid her face under her paws. Carefully peeking over her left foreleg she looked back at the big lion. Her stomach growled. She was embarrassed by the noises her stomach did in front of some stranger and completely hid her face under her paws.

Jamall couldn't help but slightly raise one eyebrow when she hid her face beneath her paws. The lion smiled, then lightly licked the top of her head. "Hey, it's OK. You don't have to hide, nobody's going to hurt you." He spoke, hoping to coax her out of her shy state. It did not take long for him to hear her stomach's growling, at which point his face fell slightly. He didn't want her to be hungry, after all. "You're hungry, aren't you? Here, will you eat this?" He asked, after using one of his forepaws to drag the hunk of Zebra meat over in front of the child, only a few short inches in front of her muzzle.

Taraji raised her head a bit and tried another look back. As she saw the hunk of zebra she forgot anything else. Her body reacted without thinking. Her nose rose up and sniffed on the hunk. Then she started licking at it and then even hastier she sank her small fangs into the meat. She was not strong enough to tear a piece off while the hunk was wobbling above her and so she took her paws and pressed against the hunk. After a lot of tries she managed to get a small piece and chewed it happy.

After the cub got a piece of meat tore off, Jamall decided that it would be best if he tore it into smaller pieces for her, and so the lion set to work doing just that. He tore off chunks of meat that he guessed were around the same size as the chunk she had taken for herself, and set the pieces of meat down in front of her, in place of the large and harder to eat hunk of Zebra, which was moved off to the side to make room for the pile of pieces.
After that, Jamall just laid there and watched the cub eat, keeping a close eye on her to make sure she didn't put herself at risk of choking by trying to eat too much in one bite.

Simba slowly made his way back to the main area of Pride Rock. He was busy thinking about the events that had just taken place.
"This young cub. Where did she come from and who was she? Her fur color and eyes. They're like nothing I've ever seen before. There's definitely something special about this cub for sure but I just can't say for sure, what it is." Simba thought to himself as he began to look around.
He needed to find Vitani. He was going to have her find out as much information about this young cub as he could. He knew Vitani was a skilled tracker, as her past with The Outlanders never left Simba's mind. He knew she could be trusted, but still, Simba couldn't help but feel a bit awkward whenever he was in her presence. The memories of Zira still stained his mind and the events past often haunted his thoughts.
"Forget it! That's all in the past now. Just let it go!" Simba muttered to himself as he looked around once more. "Vitani! Hey, Vitani, are you here?" Simba called out. He never knew where that lioness was, but he was hoping that she'd hear the sound of his voice from atop Pride Rock.

Tarajis little teeth took some time to chew the meat. She still was not used to meat at all. But this was the first time she got something this good to eat and on top of it she realized being watched which made her feeling a little bit awkward. But her hunger won against her shyness and so she took the small pieces placed in front of her and chew them while carefully peeking back at the lion from time to time. At the moment her eyes meet the observing blue orbs of the lion she instantly returned her eyes on the meat. It was somewhat embarrassing to have a stranger watching her eating. Even more because she felt that the blood of her meal was covering the fur around her muzzle.
It took very long until she chewed enough pieces of meat to satisfy her stomach. Her belly felt big and full. With a light sigh she put her head on her paws. A last stealthy glimpse from the outer corner of her eye to the lion above her. He was still watching her. Quickly she closed her eyes and thought about all that has happened. That she collapsed in the morning, the shock she received right after that, the water, the meat and this strange lion with the name Jamall. Not that she did not trust him. At least he could not be that bad else he would not have given her something to eat but... ... she was very shy when it came to someone she did not know. She never meet another lion beside her mother. Her shyness was half about not knowing how she should act and half about a sense of caution. While being with her mother in the cage of the humans she learned to hide her presence from any stranger.
She fell asleep and dreamed that she was with her mother. She snuggled up against the paw of Jamall while in her dream her mother was holding her tightly. She smiled slightly in her dream.

Jamall had to admit, it was somewhat cute, how the child would occasionally glance up at him. He wondered if this shyness was just her personality, or caution, or a mix of both. The lion sat silently as she ate, and ate, and ate. She must've been really starved. He decided, mentally stating the obvious.
Not long after the last piece was downed, the little one closed her eyes, fell asleep, then, in her sleep, snuggled into his oversized paw. The lion just smiled and rested his head alongside her, then closed his own eyes, not falling asleep, but simply resting and waiting.

Taraji woke up around noon. First she did not remember where she was. Then she heard the breath of the big lion and opened her eyes slowly. He seemed to sleep. She tried to remember his name... Jamall, wasn't it? But a more urgent need raised inside her. The water she drank wanted to leave her body. It was a pressing and uncomfortable feeling that wanted to be pleased. Carefully - to not wake up Jamall - she sneaked out of his paws and looked around to find a place to follow the natures call. She ever looked back to the big lion checking that he would not watching.

While his intention had not been to fall asleep, Jamall had drifted off to la-la land! He was sleeping fairly lightly, and so luckily, the cub was able to slip from his paws without him waking. He just mumbled in his sleep and shifted slightly, his subconscious careful to avoid crushing the cub that it still believed was snuggled into his paw.
Nearly a full minute passed before the absence of a warm furry object pressed into that gargantuan paw of his was finally noticed, causing the lion's eyes to flutter upon as he woke, and started looking about the den for her. "Where'd you go?"

Tajari just wanted to go around a corner out of sight of Jamall as she heared his voice. She stopped and turned to him. She was a bit embarrassed and her eyes looked shy into his while the pressure inside her build up. She ducked on the ground to fight against it and tried to carefully slide backwards to come out of his sight. Just the thought about he would watch her at this was so embarrassing.

When he finally caught sight of the cub, Jamall slowly rose to his paws, head tilted at a slight angle in a curious fashion. What's she up to? He wondered, about to take a step forwards towards her. Then he remembered all the water she drank not too long ago.
Oh. THAT'S what she's up to.
"Uh, just go 'round that corner... I won't watch." He said, turning around with his back facing her and plopping down on his haunches, eyes aimed directly at his paws. "Just don't go far."

Taraji sigh as the pressure left her body. Carefully she returned and peeked around the corner. Jamall was still looking at his paws. She slided a bit so that he would not catch her with his eyes directly and ducked her head to the ground while sneaking back in his direction. She was not afraid of him, just still embarrassed of being watched by him. She rushed as silent as possible back to the big lion and slipped into the warm mane. Taraji took a deep breath and huddled against Jamalls warm body. It was nice and warm. Taraji closed her eyes again and listened to the noises in the cave. The wind from the outside, the breath of Jamall and his heartbeat. This silent noised and the warm body of Jamall were relaxing and Taraji knew that she was at the end of her journey. This was a place she could stay.
