Jakie thanked Belphegor for his help, and set about replacing the tweezers in the medkit. Since the kit had been used, Republic Health Laws demanded that the kit be immediatly disposed of, which she did by disposing of it in the incinerator. With that done, Jakie decided to stand by the couch rather than sit down again. She glanced over at Belphegor for a moment, then turned around to look at M'aiq, who was still sitting at the counter. A sigh escaped her lips, and Jakie slowly shook her head. "This is gonna be a long day..."

Shanya shrugged. "I dont mind actually. Gave some spark to my life." she then smiled and nodded her head in agreement. "Same here....just maybe not as weird." she said looking back at him. She shrugged again and leaned back on the counter. She turned her head and looked out the door. Everything seemed some what peace ful...yeah right!! Probably everything but!

~The next day~
The last of the police inspections had been completed, as had the last of the interviews swamping the scene of the attack. With most of the exciment over and done with, the area cleared rather quickly. The insurance agent had been by as well, but the reports didn't look at all promising. The damage insurance didn't cover assasination attempts, and therefore the damage inside, but mostly outside, would have to stay there until paid for. Sympathetic regulars of the bar had dropped by when they heard what had happened to their regular hangout, some leaving donations to help along the repairs.
About this time, Dom had reached the second space port, his next stepping stone on the trip to death, or riches. The last part of the journey would take only 45 minutes to get well into enemy territory; he planned on charting a fast-ship that he might expidite his return. He fought off yet another poorly executed (flawless by normal standards, yet of no consequence to him) assassination attempt. He wondered how M'aiq and the resturant faired, but most of all he wondered how the stunning Jackie had been coping. A dark day indeed when a frown, or the mask of horror contorted her beautiful features, and the effect of the attack stayed clearly with Dom, unfortunately. He still wondered how on earth he would get out of the system, quickly enough.
Tragically, the sith way out was the only foolproof method he could see. "Hey!! Get the f*ck up off--" The pilot shouted, going for his blaster as his head was jerked back by a rough hand on his hair. A large black dagger stole away his argument effectively, and banished the unfortunate man permanently to the realm of death. The body fell limply to the floor; next came the head. "dang.... Didn't mean to dig in that deeply...." He thought, meaning only to gift the pilot with a set of gills. Before long, the ship was under his controls, the mess cleaned, the body spaced. Sith were effective at such things.
Landing on the planet's surface, he realized his luck had been much better than he ever dreamed it would: The silly pig didn't think that an attack would achieve this level of completion in a hunt (in the past, it never had, so it was understandable) would be done this far in his warlord career, and had not installed one single defense. People came and gone as the pleased, and he wasn't at all guarded, leaving the place frequently to do filthy hog-man things. Dom couldn't believe his luck, and blessed the characteristic stupidity of Gamorreans.

M'aiq had simply nodded in agreement with Shanya, then he left the Cantina and headed home to his apartment.
When the next day finally rolled around, M'aiq woke up to the smell of someone cooking in his apartment's kitchen. Grabbing his Five-SeveN pistol, the Cyran leaped out of bed, wearing little more than a pair of lounge pants. He cautiously left his room, walked down the hall of his surprisingly well-furnished apartment, and entered the kitchen, ready to shoot first and ask questions later. When he saw his mystery cook, he was a little surprised to see Jakie. He sighed, set the pistol down on a counter, walked up behind her, and hugged her from behind. "Morning, Jakie." He purred, as she nearly leaped in surprise. [Jakie had been jumpy ever since the attack on her Cantina.]
Jakie, who had thought it was a grand idea to sneak into M'aiq's apartment and make him his favorite breakfast, almost leaped out of her socks when M'aiq's arms wrapped around her midsection. She laughed when she realized it was her friend, and slipped out of his grasp. "Morning to you too, M'aiq. Sleep well, big guy?" She asked, grinning from ear to ear at him. M'aiq nodded happily, and the two began to chat while breakfast was cooking.
*One hour later* M'aiq had showered, dressed in a MultiCam combat uniform and Combat boots, and walked with Jakie to her Cantina. Once the Cantina was opened and Jakie, wearing her same clothes from yesterday [though she now wore a black choker], donned her apron and cleaned up the kitchen, as M'aiq vacuumed the floors and turned on the 'Open' sign.

Understandably, few customers wanted to eat at a place that had a large black crater and the odor charred skin out front, but the regulars never let it bother them, right down to the blaster marks in the wall directly behind where M'aiq (again) was standing. The window had been cardboard/duct taped up well enough, so that the exhaust-laden draft had been fairly eliminated.
Dom figured this operation to be done and overwith quick. Swine-man DID travel with an armed guard: 3 trandosians in heavy armor with disruptor rifles, and 1 wookie. Dom realized this fight needed to be over before it started, without a single shot being fired, that noone would be alerted. Quickly, a sinister plan was forming in his mind; this would be a fun challenge indeed. It was only made easier when they walked down a lone dirt path, flanked on both sides by heavy foliage.
"<I thought I heard something.>" Dassk said. "<Check it out then. We'll be ahead.>" Nssk said, as they walked. Dassik wandered off the path, trying in vain to find the "Noise" he'd heard, not realizing that he had only been mind-manipulated, as well as had the other group. He didn't see, or hear the Black dagger that beheaded him, swiftly and silently. Dom helped the body to the floor. "1 down..." He thought, taking up a lightning fast, but deathly silent run.
"<Where is Dassk?>" Nssk soon asked. "<Should we go back and look?>" Rossk asked. "<You go, we'll watch.>" Nssk commanded; Rossk did so obediently. Figuring that he would be better off sneaking up on Dassk, he took the heavily forrested side-path. Noone heard the spine of their comrade being severed. Again, the body was helped silently to the floor. Nssk, U'r'bakka and H'mgarru all sat and waited for his return. "<Something is amiss....>" Nssk reasoned, though both he and U'r'bakka were now on high alert. "<We should get back then!!>" H'mgarru squealed, already worried for the first time since he became a crimelord. Suddenly, a figure darted passed, lashing out at Nssk, and then dissapearing into the opposite wall of foliage he came from. "<What was that!?>" U'r'bakka bawled at Nssk. Nssk only stood for a moment; he fell to the floor, bisected. "<COWARD!!! SHOW YOURSELF!!>" The wookie bellowed, the stopped. H'mgarru squealed in sheer terror as the wookie guardsman suddenly sprouted the large tip of a black dagger out of his fuzzy forehead. He dropped without another word.

The crater outside the Cantina wouldn't be there for long, for Jakie had called a maintenance company to come by and repair the damage to her Cantina. As for the offending odor outside, well, it'd go away on it's own after the repair firm cleaned up out there. She busied herself chatting happily with the three regulars sitting at the bar, while M'aiq had left the Cantina to attend to some personal business. As she worked, she couldn't help but think of the Cyranese tiger from yesterday, Belphegor. She wondered how he was doing, what he was up to. After a few minutes of thinking about him, she sighed and returned to her work.

Shanya didnt end up eating breakfast or any other meal that day. To many things on her mind. When she returned to her place, she checked the messages on her phone and then went to bed. She layed there staring at her cieling the whole night. She always did that when something was on her mind.
The next morning she awoke to her alarm clock. SHe never set it...or she just forgot that she did set it. Her feet slowly hit the ground and went to her drawes for clothes. She then made her way slowly to the bathroom. A cold shower should help. After her shower she got dressed and put a little bit of eyeliner on. Next she had no clue what to do. Go down to where she went yesterday? Or stay home and eat. She had no life so why not go to the Cantina. Thats what she did.
She got there and sat where she sat yesterday. She didnt even know if she was going to eat again. The pit was still there in her stomache. She sighed and watched everythign around her...She wondered what would go wrong today.

Belphegor was in an apartment now, penning down these experiences and furiously adding every single detail to his already several-hundred-thousand-page-long essays he had wrote. Constantly, he tried to think of that poor Cyran girl that won his heart instantly, the moment he saw her. Constantly, he kept seeing that leering visor just about to peek over his shoulder. dangED human.... He was a diabolical monster indeed, and when the encyclopedia was done with, the human would be his next research topic.
The pig squealed loudly and shamelessly, and it only worse when his attacker made himself apparent. He was rooted to the spot, too mezmerized by terror to run. "Bad little piggy. You've been misbehaving, and it's the hoozegow for YOU." Dom said, throwing a poison-tipped dart with his last word. It pierced his nasty, leathery flesh, and spewed poison into his blood. Instantly, his squealing slowed; he now felt too sleepy to even stand. He didn't feel the floor hit his face, as he toppled over. Dom smirked and tied a rope around the legs, and arms, gagging him harshly, before dragging his prize into the jungly side path, back to "his" ship.
~30 minutes later~
By now, Dom was well into hyperspace, but the planet below just barely realized their leader was no more, or had been kidnapped. The power vaccume that ensued ensured the toppling of the once-great empire.... Dom went home smirking all the way, sitting back for the 12 hour flight. The pig still hadn't woken up yet, but he was chained tighter than a mummy and blinded; there was no escape for him.

Jakie glanced around the Cantina, listening to the lively banter of the bar's patrons. She looked over at Shanya for a moment, then walked back behind the bar and over to the customer. "Everything all right?" She asked, giving her a friendly smile.
[Grrr... Bad post on my part....]

Belphegor decided to vainly try his luck once more with the cyran woman at the tavern; he was there, driven by the need to see her face again in minutes. Stepping around the crater cautiously; he opened the door and avoided the severed powercord, which was grim reminder of the human. Still, the temporary effects of the subconcious fright had now begun to dissipate; she was as fair as he remembered her, and less and less the masked figure began to cloud his thoughts. "Morning...." He said, walking in timidly. "Are you guys still open?" He asked, wondering if the attack had forced them to close up, even temporarily.

Jakie took a few steps away from where Shanya was sitting, so that she could get a better look at Belphegor. "Yes, we're still open, Belphegor!" She replied cheerfully, a warm smile on her face. "So, what can I do for you this fine morning, Tiger?" She asked, bending across the bar for a moment to retrieve a washcloth that had fallen onto a stool.

Belphegor didn't allow his gaze to fall on her partly-exposed chest, deciding not to blow his chances yet again. Still, there was nothing said about letting his peripherals get a great view, and he did so abundantly and discreetly. He looked about the recleaned bar, and stopped. "Where is the demon?" He asked (taking great pains to be inquisitive, and not come across as disgusted or hateful), as cautious as he was curious of the human. "I still want to know how he was able to do all that..." He mused aloud, trying to fathom the ways he could've done it. Air? Heck no!! Noone could control the air!! ........ Could they?

[Ooo, 'Demon' makes me think of the Master Chief... ] Jakie, tossing the cloth into a small bin tucked into a corner, shrugged in response to Belphegor's question. "You mean Dom? He's after a bounty right now. It's weird, I never figured him to be a force user... I mean, how else can you explain how Dom did what he did?" Jakie replied, glancing over at her apron, which was draped over a chair. She briefly thought of putting it on, but decided to forgo wearing it and stick with her tee-shirt. It was more comfortable that way, anyways. "Oh, how's that scratch on your head doing? It'd not infected or anything, is it?" She asked, a slightly concerned expression playing across her face. [Grr, being forced to get off the PC... With a little luck, I'll back on in 30 to 45 minutes.]

"No no, I'm fine." He said, suddenly intruged even more than before. "Force user you say?" He asked, scooting in closer to hear better. "As in Jedi? But I thought Jedi weren't allowed to pull of the whole "Single mass slayer" routine...." He mused, as much to himself as Jackie. "Are you sure it was the force? He doesn't even LOOK like any Jedi I've ever seen...." He said, refferring to the completely black way Dom dressed. "And he moves more quietly than I've ever seen any bumble-footed human I've ever seen...." He said, suddenly fascinated. "D'you know him? Maybe you could get him to teach us how to DO that!!" He asked, hopefully.

Jakie herself was wondering if Dom was ex-Jedi. She doubted it. He didn't act at all like a former Jedi, but then again, she didn't know any ex-Jedi, other than M'aiq. "Hmm... Let's see... I've known Dom for about six, seven years now I think. I was only fifteen when I met him." She replied, smiling at Belphegor. "I might be able to talk him into teaching us, but honestly, I don't know if he will teach us." She added with a shrug. "On another note, I think it's finally time for me to go see a hand-to-hand combat instructor or something... I need to learn how to defend myself..."

"And what of him?" Dom asked quietly, pointing to M'aiq. "Does he know anything of the like?" He asked. He was after all, a confirmed ex-jedi....

Jakie thought for a moment, then nodded in response. "Well, M'aiq is a former Jedi, but... I really have no idea what he did for the Order. All I know is they threw a fit and kicked him out after something went SNAFU on one of their operations. But he did roll with a Mercenary crew for about two years, and he's got a rep as one of the best snipers in the inner core." She replied, looking over at M'aiq for a moment, then returning her attention to Belphegor. M'aiq, having just came back into the Cantina after getting off the comms with his half-brother, walked straight over to Jakie and Belphegor, seemingly on cue. He was fiddling with a datapad, looking over the multitude of different rifles he had in his armory, simply because he was bored. He sat down on a barstool one stool down from Belphegor, not really paying attention to either him or Jakie.

Belphegor wounded briefly if revealing his knowledge of M'aiq's past already was wise. He decided against it; it wasn't in good taste to talk behind one's back.... He sighed, and allowed the matter to fall flat. Still, he wondered what honing his skills would be like under the human. What kind of grueling excercises could that beast have imposed on himself to be so formidable? It never crossed his mind that those tests and feats were the result of another.... A much crueller master; one who showed even less compassion than Dom already did.
Dom sensed something at home was amiss; they were probably wondering where he was. He wished he was back home, simply to be in the proximity of the lovely Cyran girl.
[[ Ah, heck with it. might as well toss dom in the race too. ]]

[Oh man, this is gettin' interesting...]
Jakie sighed and looked up at the clock, hoping that it would roll around to closing time soon. She wanted to take a swim before the day was out, but she had to get to the local pool early otherwise a certain really annoying lifeguard would be on duty, and the guy seemed to think it his duty to stare at her butt every chance he got. She went about cleaning off the counters, just because she couldn't think of anything to talk about. M'aiq was still fiddling with his datapad, only he was now looking over a list of Mercenary contracts that were avalible to him. He scrolled through the list, and finally came to one that would suit him. A Politician's security force needed a sniper to watch over the rear entrance of a assembly hall, a job he was perfectly suited for. The pay was decent, at 75,000 credits, and all he needed to do was show up with his rifle in hand and hang out with a bunch of SWAT guys all afternoon, waiting for a terrorist who would probably never show up anyways. He tapped the 'accept' icon, and the C-SEC Mercenary Group began checking his background, to ensure that he wasn't going to flip out and wack the politican.

Only moments after the last person left the now closed Tavern that Dom was able to stop by. He didn't even stop as he walked by the Tavern, already taking note of the closed sign in the window. He sighed and figured he would try tomorrow, and already began the climb up the building the Tavern was in. Within moments, he was already 9 stories up, using window ledges and things to pull himself up, until he got into his own room. Tiredly and somewhat dejected he didn't get a glimpse of Jackie's angellic face before the day was done, he tossed his clothes in the closet and was in casual dress.
The day had been long and rough for Dom. Everyone made such a stink when the Gamorrean crimelord was literally dragged behind Dom on a chain, trying to squeal. Hundreds of people watched Dom casually drag him through the halls until he got to the republic prison caravel. Quickly elite guardsmen took the extremely high-profile criminal away, and shouts of praise had been rained on him. To him, it was just another job, that needed doing though. Still, the Republic promised him the full amount would be forwarded to his account by 4:30 am tomorrow morning, right when he first left the house in the mornings. 4 different news teams tried drilling him for answers but all were bombarded with "No comment" statments, as he hurriedly and easily made his escape up a building side. He wished he had something to eat, but figured an extra large breakfast was in order tomorrow, if possible. Within minutes, he was snoring in bed.
