Ahem. Good evening, ladies and gentlemen:
As you may or may not know, October is national breast-cancer awareness month. It is a month ladies and gentlemen, where we must take a stand, male or female, to raise awareness and help stop this terrible disease, no matter what the cost. New cases of breast cancer in the United States are estimated to be 178,480 (female); 2,030 (male). Of these an estimated 40,460 (female) and 450 (male) will die from the disease. (National Cancer Institute figures). That is a lot, ladies and gentlemen. A LOT. This cancer, is bad, I will admit, but it can be caught early. It can be caught in it’s benign stages, when it is just a harmless lump of tissue. Complacency, bred through bashfulness, or lack of time, or money, or whatever, is a poor excuse to give this terrible condition the time and resources it needs, to take over your life, and eventually snuff it out like so many candles in a hurricane.
Breast cancer is a terrible way to live and die. It will turn your chest into what looks like a prop-extra from a space movie, like the alien environment from the movie Evolution. By then, it may well be too late to save yourself. It will certainly be too late to save your breast. You will be in pain, and you will die, if the tumors are serious. Is this how you want to die?! NO! You do not want to die like this, you do not want your entire left or right b00b surgically chopped right off. Do you really want to live life without a left or right b00b? Do you have any idea what you would look like missing an entire breast? Plastic surgery might be able to make a replica of your breast. But it is both expensive, time-consuming, uninsured to even work, and downright humiliating. Could you have prevented this? H3LL YEAH YOU COULD’VE.
Mammograms are given periodically by clinics for FREE. You can take advantage of this. Even then, when they are not, the fee charged to have one done is modest, when put into perspective with your entire life, your accomplishments, family, friends, and everyone who's ever known you, for good or ill. There are several ways to fight this, from your very home. For those affected by the genetically inherited cancer, there is still hope. You can slow the onset of this sickness. We can all fight this. It may seem arbitrary now, and you may not know why we wage this war still, why we will fight, and fight, and FIGHT untill we win... Or we die. Excercise. It seems like the common treatment for everything, but it is what it is. It will help. Along with the decrease of the intake of fats, specifically saturated and hydrogenated fats. Fiber is good, both for regularity, and to help stave tumor growth off. Plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables are equally effective, and also help with bolstering common immunity needs. Most importantly, don't drink or smoke. It seems silly. "Raf! Drinking pickles your liver!" ..... "Raf!! Smoking rots your lungs!!" Yes, this is known and proven to be true. BUT. Cutting back on these bad habits helps spread the growth of cancers and sicknesses TO the breast, that stem from other areas of the body!!
This is about so much more than you. One candle, in a field of BILLIONS. Billions. How many moms, sisters, daughters, aunts, nieces, and even sons, fathers, and brothers will die in the arms of their loved ones, because of a lack of self-preservation!? Research may be slow, but it is steady ladies and gentlemen. It is through our donations, (since the ****ing government sure as hell isn’t in any position to!!) modest though they are, and the support of millions, for the fallen and those who will have to fight, and possibly die from this cancer, that people have the courage to continue life, and research departments can continue to search for a cure to this fell ailment. It might come in our lifetimes, but I can assure you. With god in heaven, and the hundreds of qualified men and women slaving over microscopes, cell samples, lab machines, and testing more and more possible solutions each passing day, we WILL triumph over this hardship, AND PREVENT FATALITIES FROM THIS DISEASE FROM EVER HAPPENING AGAIN D@MMIT!!!
Those money-grubbing official b@$7@rd$ in the government and wall street, are the heroes we hate. Their falsified philanthropy is spent on misguided needs, and to make their own images look good. They spend money left and right on meaningless things, while we ourselves could amass and donate thousands as a single, unified pack of humanity. Tell me right now. What have you got to loose? WHAT HAVE YOU GOT TO LOOSE!? NOTHING!! EXCEPT YOUR LIFE!! Money is but an arbitrary thing, coming as easily as it can go. Don’t you think you can afford to pass up on that little doodad for yourself, some random pointless thing you really don’t need, and keep the money to donate to a worthy cause, where your contributions to the advancement of medical science will be as timeless as life itself? A 6-pack, or hair barrettes, or simple things like that will be forgotten or wasted before the month is through. Shouldn’t that little something go towards the purchase of equipment that could save millions of lives?!
I urge you. I urge you all! Get up, DO something. It may be small, it may be large. From examining yourself to keep from fattening up current figures, it may be donating $60 a month toward the cure for breast-cancer, or even some other good cause. It may be to lead a 100,000-strong hoard of supporters down the main streets of some city, screaming my words to take action and heed the possible consequences. Hell, you may well be studying as we speak for a career in medicine, so you yourself could well be the person, or a member of the team of people that find the cure, now or in the future, however distant. The point is not to sit and do nothing, while life passes you by. Fight ignorance!! Fight to expand the word!! FIGHT COMPLACENCY!! FIGHT BREAST CANCER, AND MAY GOD BE RIGHT BEHIND US IN OUR ENDEVOURS, NOW, AND AS WE MARCH THROUGH THE ENDLESS HALLS OF TIME!!! WHO’S WITH ME!?!
