Not sure if this has ever been brought up before on this board but anyone ever notice that in the first Lion King movie, when Timon and Pumbaa meet Simba for the first time, he never introduces himself to them. We only hear Timon first say his name when Simba is an adult. Assuming that TLK 1 1/2 didn't exist, when do you think he actually told them his name or did they just call him "kid" for like 2 years lol?

I didn't really notice it at first but after a few more times I watched the movie, I had a similar thought! But, yeah, that is really weird. Great find!

O.O Had to sit there and think a minute or so chronologically through the lines. No such luck finding any intro. Nice catch

Ok, here's something else I found kinda funny lol. In TLK 1 1/2, remember the point in the movie when Rafiki is talking to Timon's Mom and she finds out that Timon went off to looks for his "Hakuna Matata" and she and Uncle Max were going to go find him right? Well, at that point in the movie, it was right when Timon and Pumbaa came across young Simba and saved him from the buzzards. Now to make a long story short, Uncle Max and Timon's Mom don't actually find Timon until the end of the movie, when it's the fight scene with Scar. Now is it just me, or did it take them over 2 years+ (assuming that's how long it took young Simba to grow up into Adult Simba lol) to find Timon at Pride Rock? I mean, Timon traveled from his original home to Pride Rock in like 3 days right? lol. But it took Uncle Max and his Mom over 2 years to find him at Pride Rock? Now, either his Mom really procrastinated when it came to going to look for her son, or SOMEONE really needs a GPS system lol. (I guess meerkats don't have a good sense of direction even though they spend their lives digging intricate tunnels lol) <.< Just thought I'd point that out. Something random to think about

Heh, it's because of these inconsistancies that I don't count TLK 1 1/2 as canon. I mean, they had the chance to introduce Zira and the Outlanders into the plot but, just as in TLK, Scar doesn't seem to have any allies. We only needed them randomly in some shot, not even speaking, to comfirm their existance. Plus theres the huge inconsistancy of the hyenas being somewhere else when Scar is meant to be blaming them for his crimes. Yeah... rant over.
That is an intresting observation, KM. I should watch more closely next time and see what I can spot. Oh, talking of which... does anyone else think that when Kiara looks into the water for the first time when she runs away from Pride Rock and only sees half of herself, the half you can see bares a slight resemblance to Sarabi?

Wow, another old thread revived! ^^ (nods to Feareous) Yeah, it's kinda like Queen said, TLK 1 1/2 just has a lot of minor flaws that you really wouldn't notice unless you were paying REALLY close attention to, or someone else pointed them out. lol. ^^ Still, I think TLK 1 1/2 is still a good movie overall and they did their best to cover up any imperfections as they could. (smiles a Queen) You know, I've never really looked at that, since...well, whenever Kiara is on screen, my eyes tend to stick upon her...for some unknow reason. >.> I'll have to check that out next time I'm working with TLK2SP. Thanks for sharing that bit of insight my friend. ^^
