I was 5 years old when my mom took me and my two older brothers to visit one of her old friends. They had just gotten the recent released TLK movie on VHS. I remember the quality of the video wasnt so good were the movie would unexpectantly turn black and white and the picture frame would go up and down. I can also recall that we didnt get to watch the whole movie because I started crying so much when Mufasa died and Simba had go into exile that my mom decided to turn off the movie and later took me to Mcdonalds where she bought me a Happy Meal. It was because of this funny little incident that I didnt get intrested in TLK antill now, 13 years later.

Well, as some of you already know, I first saw TLK when I was 11 years old, when it first was released in theaters in June of 1994. I consider myself lucky, as I know a lot of you didn't have the chance to see the movie in theaters, either cause you were too young, or just didn't get the chance to go, but I only wish I could have seen the movie in iMax theaters. I missed that release and I hate myself for it each and everyday. lol. ^^ I did, however, see the movie in theaters many many times. ^^ I think, in the opening month of the movies release,I saw it at least 4 times. lol. ^^ It was just that good that I had to see it at least once every weekend. Once the movie was out of thaters, it was quite the long wait for it to hit VHS, but yeah, the VHS tape was actually my one and only birthday gift when it came out, not cause my parents were cheap (which they kinda are lol) but because it was the ONLY thing I asked for. ^^ I wanted it that badly that I didn't care about anything else, just as long as I got my paws on the VHS tape on the release date. ^^ lol, oh man, once I did have the VHS copy of it, I must have watched it like 6+ times in one day. ^^ I know I just kept watching, rewinding, watching, rewinding and so on, until I had to go to bed. ^^ Ahh, the good old days. May that poor VHS tape R.i.P. ^^ I honestly can't say how many times I've watched TLK since the opening day in theaters, but I can say this much for sure, it's definitely NOT enough times. hehe.

For me, I first seen TLK when it came out in theaters. ^^ I was really young at the time but I can vividly remember watching it in theaters. ^^ I didn't get to go there often since the movie theaters for me were quite a drive. About 40 to an hour away. So, I only manage to see it twice I believe in theaters. It's better than nothing hehe. When TLK first came out in VHS, I didn't get that right away because I have a big pride and money was a big thing lol. I believe I got it for my birthday. ^^ Might have been a late gift, not entirely sure. Once I got the movie, I spent 24 hours watching it nonstop. hehe. I would lock myself in my room and just watch TLK. ^^ Of course, watching the film over and over and over, it'll eventually break. Apparently, this has happen to me and once it did, I wasn't able to get a new one until about a few months lol. Most of my cubby friends at the time weren't into TLK as much as I was. ^^ I only watched it alone in my room but it was one of the best moments ever for me. ^^ I always liked watching it before heading off to bed. ^^

You know the weird thing is even though I was about 5 when I saw TLK and have seen it many times since, I've never once cried at it. I've felt really sad when Muffasa died but never cried. So the first time I have ever cried at a TLK thing was when I went to see it on stage in London and Muffasa died. Then I suddenly start bawling in the middle of the stalls and everyone gives me really odd looks.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think I semi-remember seeing The Lion King at a theater (I'm pretty sure it was the Grand Lake Theater, Oakland, CA; in Auditorium 1.) in 1994. I still have the VHS but no DVD.

Hehe, I never openly cried when I saw that scene too, but I did shed a tear or two. ^^ Still do to this very day. Not ashamed to admit it, since it truly is one of the most emotionally driven scenes in film history, or at least, I think it is.

Cool question.
Probably more than 12 years ago. Last year, while playing Kingdom Hearts 2, I kinda, remembered stuff.
So, I went to get the movie. :3

I don't remember the first time I saw it, all I know is that I saw the first one after the first one because I didn't get the first one on DVD till about two years ago, I think. I have the second one on VHS and sometimes it goes all fuzzy, but that's why I love it!!

Well. I was around 6 or 7 and during this particular summer my mother forced me to go to a summer camp that I really, really disliked. It wasn't a bad place, everyone was nice and I didn't have a hard time fitting in. Its just spending all summer frying under the sun in the middle of the woods wasn't my idea of fun.
Well one day they decided to load us all up on a bus to go see a new movie that just came out called The Lion King. I remember I enjoyed it quite a lot and I vaguely remember one of the camp staff members crying a little bit after the movie was over. Got it when it came out on VHS and really liked watching it. Over time though I pretty much forgot about the movie until I had to do a zoology project in high school. Since rediscovering it I've been a big fan.

When I was about 4 or 5, I got it for VHS. I watch it and loved it. I must have watched it atleast 35 times. I remember replaying CYFtLT over and over again *lol*. When I turned 7 or 8 I moved on. Bout two months or so ago I watched it and loved it once more! Of course I found the sequel and watch it also.

I saw it in theaters when I was about 5. I went to see it 3 times I think, after that my parents were like - yeah not spending any more money. Which I can understand. Believe it or not I never got the VHS for it. My grandma got SP on VHS for me when it came out. I bought all 3 DVDs a few years ago.

I honestly cant remember the first time I seen the original, it's just always been in my life...
I think maybe I (or both me and my sister) got it for Christmas one year? That sounds familiar, LOL! I was 5 when it came out, so I must have been like 6 or 7 when I got it
