So hurricane Gustav is fittin'a hit southern North america. I feel rilly bad for us New Orleans-ers, and basically ANYBODY in the way of that 'cane. It's currently already a category 3 hurricane, with dozens of miles of hot, wet ocean, which is like steriods to a hurricane. We down here in SA should be alright guys, but the storm (headed NW @ 22 mph) should be making landfall about 24 hours from now. As it progresses west, it may or may not continue along the predicted path. If it does, us SA-ers may be safe. If it boomerangs southward, we will be upper-case f***'d. Either way, if the storm gets too intense here (I doubt it will and I hope it won't) I may not be on for the duration of the storm, to keep surges from frying my computer.

Update:
I think Gustav has died, and did not boomerang as we were worried it would. Instead, it has degraded into a severe tropical thunderstorm, which will probably have massive flooding/tornado possibilities. So, we party since it's headed toward Dallas keep the poor people of Dallas/the region of Dalls in your minds, should they do get flood/tornado pounded. Also, beware of like, the 3 other hurricans in the Atlantic still....

yup, tropical storm Hanna(once a hurricane, it weakened), tropical storm Ike and tropical storm Josephine are on the run, with maximum wind gusts of 75 MPH! (Gustav is currently a tropical depression over the USA - with winds up to 20 MPH. so that means its over! but i have a feeling that at least one of the other storms is gonna turn into a hurricane!
im tracking all of them right now.
EDIT: tropical storm Ike has strengthened! it has maximum wind gusts of 85 MPH now! (with maximum sustained winds of 70 MPH) if sustained winds grow to 75 MPH, voila, a hurricane ;D

If Hannah DOES thump the coast, then SK is in trouble; they're predicting it to go as far as 3-mile island or some ish, and I think that's where he lives.

Well I think Ike or whichever new one is coming goes RIGHT OVER WHERE I LIVE! Like the whole D.C. Metropolitan area. So let's just keep everyone on the East Coast in our hearts, prayers, and minds until storm season is done.
