Its been about three months now sense I downloaded The Lion King movie, after deciding that I would watch every great Disney classic which I enjoyed watching as a child. Under a time period of just one week I had watched several of the great classics like The Jungle Book, 101 Dalmatians, The Rescures, Aladdin, The Great Mouse Detective and so on but of all of does movies I had watched one of them stood out, The Lion King. I became practicly addicted & obsessed with anything that had anything to do with the Lion king. So I started downloading every Lion king film, watching them over & over again and downloading all the lyrics from the films and listening to them over & over again. But as Im watching & listening to TLK I become more & more depressed. Watching Simba, Nala, Kiara & Kovu play around in the films really made me remember when I was just young kid like them when life was an adventure & school was fun. I guess this means that I have entered my Midlife crisis stage sense I just turned 18. Feeling depressed It felt like I hadnt lived my childhood to the full potencial, never really knew how lucky I was antill now almost 10 years later. Things didnt get better when my dog died, who I had named on several occasions the "Lion King". After he died It felt like I was Simba in a way when Mufasa died. Sounds silly I know. So for several weeks now Iv been trying to get back on the wagon by spending more time with my friends and trying to stay positive and stop living in the past (Hakuna Matata). Do these methods has helped me lift my spirit a great deal but I still have the feeling of emptiness inside of me. So the general question of all this is there anything else I could do to lift my spirit. Thank You!

Try forgetting The Lion King. I know it's hard, but if you could try stop thinking in those ways that you cannot achieve in real live. Fact is. All those emotions in The Lion King are highly exaggerated. The love, the friends. It's hard to find such real love, between Simba and Nala, because you don't see any compromises, you only see all the good stuff. Any real live couple knows that there are offers. IN any friendship there are something you don't like perfectly. It's not perfect, like they make them be in the movie. That's why you feel depressed. Because you can't understand why you don't feel the same way. You did live your childhood to it's full potential. I'm sorry about your dog, it's always painful to loose someone you love. Now this is what I think, and since my English is limited, some of it might be rubbish :\ Welcome to this forum, I wish you luck with everything.

Your first post? Awesome! My first post was also in The True TLK addicts section! ^^ It was this (in 'I confess the love of a character' thread:
"i confess my love for nala... pass me a clone, sin!"
Yeah, only recently I punctuated my sentences better. Lol. ;D
