In a world where treasure hunting and tomb raiding is becoming more common, famous adventurer Lara Croft must work to find and collect powerful artifacts before anybody else can.
She's already saved the world by destroying the Triangle of Light and Pandora's Box, but this time she's after one of the most dangerous artifacts yet: the Amazonian Staff.
Legend has it that a powerful shaman wielded the staff and could use it to control the very fabric of life and death. If it fell into the wrong hands this artifact could cause the extinction of mankind.
The shaman's tribe realized this and when he died they destroyed the artifact and hid the five pieces throughout South America
Now, a thousand years later, Lara Croft has figured out the location of the first piece located in a set of lost ruins along the Amazon River in Brazil and knows she must retrieve it. Unfortunately for her there is another group who want it as well, but they intend to wield it's power replicate it to mass produce the most powerful weapon in the world.
Knowing that she'll need help in this, Lara enlists the help of her friends and has them meet at Croft Manor in London, England. Together they'll split into small teams and work to retrieve the Amazonian Staff before it falls into the wrong hands.
Okay, so there's the plot up to now. This is where you guys come in. You can choose to help either Lara or her new rival, Wesley Stanton, in the quest to retrieve the staff. We'll need a minimum of about four (4) people on each team before we can start. And I know some of you have furry characters, for the sake of this RP they'll all be turned to humans.

[[Alright, go ahead, you should pick up pretty quick. It's a lot like Indiana Jones: insanely powerful artifacts, barging into tombs, etc. The main difference is the main character and the present day setting. So who are you and which side are you on?]]

(Totally neutral. He goes with what's best for him cause that's how he rolls. Gerard butler is my fav actor so thats why i want to play him. Oh and is it alright if i use first person.)

((it's fine, but if you add another character, please make a way to differentiate between the two. I'm siding Terry with evil for now considering Lara would still not trust him))

(Righty O ;D)
I looked at the croft manner from my perch. I was still debating with myself wether to hold a grudge against Croft or to let it go. She had shot me but I would have shot her if she hadn't shot first. I rubbed the back of my head with my hand and sighed. I had managed to drag myself to the small village outside the of the valley were Pandora's box had been hidden. The tribesmen had taken care of me.
After that I headed strait back to London. At first my intent had been to kill Lara but when I saw her i couldn't bring myself to do it. She was so beautiful and I still loved her. Granted I would have shot her but I wouldn't have given her a fatal wound. I would have shot her somewhere where it crippled her and then I would have taken the box.
Now that the box was destroyed I could see clearly. It would have been a terrible idea to have sold it on the black market. If whatever was in that box was unleashed it would kill millions of people. Not that I cared about those people but I would most likely be one of them. I didn't want to die and there was a great possibility that I would have had I sold that box.
I wondered if I should go down and tell her I was alive. Maybe if she saw me coming up in total submission she wouldn't shoot me. I thought about it then started walking. I knew that they knew I was there the moment i put my foot on the first step. I swallowed the lump in my throat, placed my hands were they could be seen and waited.

[[ Right. What's your policy on cycling characters? ]]
A black Rolls-Royce phantom roared to a stop outside the manor's front steps; the bright, leery "eyes" of the car instantly casting a black pall over the area it had just illuminated. The interior lighting, shining even through the darkness outside, glinted of the mirror-like black painjob of the vehicle. The person inside opened the door, stood, and swivelled on one foot, slamming the door shut and making rasping "clomping noises" as his boots hit the soggy, sandy driveway of the large house. While normally armed to the teeth, out of partial courtesy, and personal safety, the only things capable of injury on his person were the two .45's discreetly hidden in hip holsters. The titanium/chrome-plated SVD Dragunov he usually wore on his back, as well as the xtrema-II shotgun he also carried, and the 4 "appropriated" grenades he'd had for almost 3 years, all lay in the trunk, disguised by the spare vest he'd brought. Clad in baggy black pants, a black trench-coat, black shirt, and sunglasses, the dark-skinned mexican man moved right through the darkness, made worse by the sunglasses, as if it were flood-illuminated. His shaggy, unkempt hair flowed in two directions and framed his handsome latino face in a heart shape, along with the rounded moustache/goatee and soul patch on his chin, and mouth.
He walked right up to the front door and knocked with purpose, 3 hard, staccato times. He took the customary 3 steps back, putting his big hands on his hips and waiting for the reception he knew would come. He'd not seen this woman, this Laura Croft in 3 years; the exact same 3 years he'd picked up those 4 frag grenades. That reunion had been a wild one indeed; he knew he would never be bored around this woman. There was a noise beyond the door; he smiled his sly, unity smile as the bright light from within suddenly increased from a small crack, to a much wider rectangle, framed by the darkly contrasted body of another-- probably the servant. "I'm looking for Mrs. Croft?" He asked, in his thick, deep, smooth voice.

[[Just make sure we can figure out who's who.]]
"Ah, yes, right this way, then," Hilary said as he motioned for Raf to follow him. The butler was wearing a suit that he had gotten straight from the dry cleaners only hours earlier. He always felt it was best to look presentable for visitors, especially due to the nature of their visit.
The manor itself once belonged to Lara's father, Lord Richard Croft. When Lord Croft disappeared, Lara had inherited the large manor which was decorated with various stone patterns on the walls and floors. The main room itself was a large open room set apart from the hallway by a set of archways. On one side of the room was the large wall of glass windows with a pair of double doors and a carpet leading directly from the doors to the stairs. Behind the glass was the Tech Room which was filled with glass-topped tables and desks as well as computers and LCD Flatscreen televisions galore. On the other side of the room was a set of stairs that broke off into two more staircases that led to hallways on opposite sides of the room. The second story hallways were also set off by archways, but with an added set of railing to prevent people from falling to the first floor.
The ceiling contained three skylights and four large chandeliers while the furniture filling the room consisted of wooden coffee tables and luxurious couches. Lara Croft was making her way down the stairs wearing a pair of black pants, a white long-sleeved shirt, and her black combat boots. Her hair was pulled back into a long braided ponytail with two strands hanging in front of her left eye.
"Welcome to Croft Manor, Raf."

Raf's surely, sarcastic grin spread even wider, as he stopped and put his hands behind his back to wait for her total decent. "Laaaaaaura!" He said smoothly and warmly, uniting and nodding his head in courtesy. "Long time no see. I'd thought the cambodian military had gotten a hold of you those many years ago." He said, turning to walk with her. Even his steel-toed boots made moderate, echoed clomping noises in the cavernous entrance hall. "Looks like Rich set her up pretty nice." He thought privately to himself. The mirrored goggle-sunglasses he wore prevented her from seeing his hazel brown eyes, as they darted around the various nooks and crannies around the main entrance area. Though there wasn't a single thing in this area worth under $2,000, his eyes held no lust for material possessions, especially since he himself had been set with their last discovery so long ago. It was interesting to see how she'd fared in such a large house, with that aging butler as her only company.

"Indeed it has, Raf," Lara replied in her English accent as she walked over to him and gave him a friendly hug before stepping back. "I'm sorry we had to meet under these circumstances, but I need your help."
It was true, based on all of her research to date, the tomb raider would need all the help that she could get if she was to find the pieces of the staff. The texts she studied claimed that there were powerful spells that prevented the temple guards from ever dying which meant that she could possibly be against an army of mummies when she arrived. And that was something she didn't like.

"We're all friends here, Laur." He replied, his "just for impressions" grin gone now, replaced with his characteristic look of mild serious--- the most serious look he ever gave, usually. "We've been through a lot. Not all good, but we've been through a lot.
Flashback:
"AHHH!! LAURAA!! KILL THE D@MNED THING!!!" *Raf yells firing at it frantically; a large pit viper has him upside down, by the left leg, and is snapping at others*
He said, the bad memory gone for that moment. He blinked and remembered they were the hell away from that place, and here, in England. No big snakes. "What is it you're after this time?" He asked, turning his obscured gaze back on her.

"It's called the Amazonian Staff. Ancient legend says that a powerful shaman wielded it and that many feared its power to control the very fabric of life and death. When he died the staff was destroyed and hidden throughout the world. At that time the known world was South America. I've located the first piece, but the legend seems to say that if I get near the temple I'll be assaulted by a hoard of guards. I need to destroy this artifact before somebody who wants it for evil gets their hands on it," Lara explained as she walked into the tech room and pulled up a rotating three dimensional wire image of the staff. "This is what it will look like when put together."
