Personality: Jiang is very much so a loner. He is very secretive of his past, and does not trust easily, if at all. He has, unfortunately, built up a hardened shell of coldness around his heart, and therefore he isn’t always easy to read.
History: Little is officially known about Jiang‘s past. He was born in a small village in northern China, in the snow-covered mountains. His biological parents died only a few days after his birth, but he was taken in by a small Warrior Sanctuary located in Kim-Sung Valley, just a few miles below his village. There he was raised to be a fierce warrior throughout his entire childhood, until he was about 18. He was the best of the Warriors there, literally undefeatable. He was the youngest Master-Warrior in China. However, the Master of the Sanctuary that had taken him in was not on good terms with the other Sanctuaries in the low valleys, beyond the Mountains.
When the Master attempted to completely separate his Sanctuary from the others, the Masters of the Valleys sent One Hundred of their finest warriors and Battle Masters to the Kim-Sung Valley. Jiang, along with five of his closest friends from the Sanctuary, managed to hold off their own brothers from the other Sanctuaries for nearly a day, giving their friends within the Kim-Sung Valley Sanctuary time enough to escape to the mountains.
However, Jiang’s friends were killed one by one, until he alone, Katana in hand, was left to hold off the advancing horde. He was finally knocked cold and captured at dusk. The attackers razed the Sanctuary, and any warrior they found within it’s walls was put down without mercy.
Jiang was horrifically tortured for two straight days, until he was near death. He told the other warriors nothing, remaining completely silent throughout his interrogation. The Masters of the Low Valley Sanctuaries, moved by his silent loyalty to his brothers, spared his life and let him go back to the Village of his birth.
However, when he got back to the Village, he was greeted with a hail of rocks thrown at him by the inhabitants of the land, who were furious with the Kim-Sung warriors for bringing devastation to the valley and their sacred temple within the Kim-Sung Monastery. He barely escaped with his life.
He fled from the Valley to a rather large Village in the plains south of the Mountains. There he stayed for a year, as his wounds healed. Once he was able to walk without the aid of a staff, he made his way further south, wandering over the mountains in search of a new home. When he was 23, he found a Village nestled in a lush, fertile valley between two mountains. A Monastery was at the peak of one of the Mountains, and while that gave him some concern, he was pleasantly surprised to learn that the inhabitants of the monastery were more concerned with training than they were with weeding out old enemies. He used the ample supply of silver he had saved up through his travels to buy a small shop, and now works as a baker within the village. He enjoys the peaceful duties of a baker, and is unlikely to leave the valley or the village anytime soon. He is also a bit of an explorer, and enjoys taking long hikes and camping trips into the wastelands and desolate valley west of his new home. He’s made a good deal of coin by selling the relics he’s recovered from the ruins in the desolate lands, so he’s not likely to quit exploring anytime soon either.
Weapons: Though he rarely uses them anymore, Jiang Kapono has a single, razor-sharp Katana-style longsword that he uses to deadly effect. He also has a finely crafted bow that he made himself as a boy, and a array of throwing knives. He also possesses a single fighting knife that had belonged to his former master. This silver dagger is both sharp and deadly. He never leaves his home without it.
