Kitabu responded, but was busy watching Trinket sleeping and Kitabu was smiling at the sight. She began to think how rewarding it would be to have a baby in the future when she was ready.....then her face promptly fell as she looked at Jamall. The significance of what they had done in the woods began to dawn on her....
Kovu began the movement to nuzzle Kiara, but pulled back seeing as how they would mutually ruin each others' groomings. So, he simply licked her muzzle and said, "I'm sorry, but it's just that I'm so nervous about today, Kiara.....

Kiara smiled and purred. "Don't apologize, Kovu!" She giggled, placing her paw on his. "I'm just as nervous." She added, laughing softly. "But I am also so excited... I just can't wait!"
Jamall looked into Kitabu's eyes, and practically read her mind. He leaned over and licked her muzzle, then gave her a reassuring smile and nod. He'd have to tell her about the herb he was taking later. It'd certainly put her mind at ease. He then got a bit of a brainstorm. "Hey Anara." He began, looking over at the other Pride Lander. "Will you get these two to Pride Rock? Kit and I have some minor tasks in the Jungle we need to take care of before the day is out." He explained, slightly nodding his head. Anara knew him fairly well, and he hoped that she would understand that he needed time alone with Kitabu. With that said, Jamall rose to his paws, nudged Kitabu as a signal for her to follow, then he walked off towards the waterfalls.

Kovu was just as equally enthusiastic, but he was stil lsomewhat superstitious. "Well, Kiara, maybe, to play it safe, we should heed the superstition? Haha..."
Kitabu was dreadfully frightened. She followed her lover for a few minutes, but then when he beckoned her to a certain area, and she saw that the place was a stunning waterfall. At that point, she forgot momentarily about all of the problems that had just presented themselves. She looked at Jamall and said dreamily and quietly, "Jamall....it's beautiful!!!"

"Sure." Anara answered, picking up Trinket as carefully as possible. She shot a warning glance at Kiki before placing the cub on her back and helping Tullus up. She let the lion lean on her as much as he needed, knowing how hard it was for him to walk.
Kiki watched as her friend left, and headed back into the Jungle. She no longer felt like watching Jamall and Kitabu. They would be too alert now. She sighed, and leapt up a nearby tree to find a male jaguar already there. She remembered him being called Bruko or something from when they were cubs...

Jamall smiled and nodded at Kitabu. "It is, isn't it? I was born here, in the grass just over there." He replied, pointing to a small clearing on the bank on the other side of the stream fed by the waterfall. He nuzzled her cheek, then wondered whether he should tell her now, or just wait a little longer.
Kiara smiled and shrugged. "Well, alright. Jasmine's not quite done with me yet, anyways... So... I'll see you in a few hours?" She purred, turning and padding back into the cave after giving her love a slightly seductive grin.
Not a minute after Kiara left, Simba came padding up to Kovu carrying a small cloth bundle in his mouth. He sat down in front of Kovu, then dropped it at his own forepaws. "I just found this in my den. There was a note with it. It's from Jamall, for you." He explained, pushing the bundle towards Kovu. Unknown to both of them, the bundle contained a very handsome gold amulet inset with a brilliant blue sapphire. The amulet was, simply put, amazingly beautiful. Fit for a King...

Kitabu nuzzled Jamall in return and began to cry. She never knew much about his background and to begin finding out about it at this point was a bit overwhelming. She sobbed quietly on Jamall's shoulders and asked him, "Jamall, could you please tell me more?"
Kovu was shocked and, at the same time, somewhat confused by the appearance of this gift. He looked at the brilliant sapphire, and then at Simba. "What does the note say?" he asked Simba with a carefully selected tone.

Simba pulled a small piece of Payprus out of a fold in the bundle, then he began to read from it. "Kovu, this was given to me by my father to wear on the day of my wedding. My wedding is still in the future, but yours is not. So, I wanted you to wear this. It was made for a king, therefore it is only suiting that the future King of Pride Rock should wear it on his wedding day. ~Jamall" Simba quoted. Then he looked up at Kovu, and smiled a little. "It does mention something about him wanting it back when he gets married. But that part was a little blurry." He added with a chuckle.
Jamall shrugged, then sat down and nodded. "Sure, why not?" He replied, brushing away a tear from her cheek with the back of his paw. "Well... My father was Asrian Lo'Kar. He was, for a short time, the King of the So'Kar pride. Then my uncle took a page out of Scar's book and ran my father off, after killing their parents. My mother met my father just before while he was still King. And my mother was a Pridelander, she fled during Scar's reign." He began, gazing over at the bank.

Kitabu listened intently. She was anxious to hear more and she was concerned that Jamall had been avoiding something ever since they arrived at this location. So, after a few seconds of taking her surroundings in, she asked him, "Jamall, is there something that you wanted to tell me when we first got here, but decided not to?" She couldn't help but smile just a bit at this point, knowing that she basically had mind-reading abilities.
Kovu was in shock. With some difficulty, he managed to place the amulet somewhere around his upper body. He admired its beauty once it was on him and he looked up and smiled at Simba. "If you happen to see Jamall today....Could you tell him I said thank you very much and that it's the greatest gift anybody has ever given me, and that he can have it back after the wedding is over?"

Jamall smiled and nodded. "Yeah. I wanted to ask... Are you worried that... You got pregnant?" He asked softly, trying to approach the subject as delicatly as possible.
Simba was more than a little in awe of the amulet. He snapped out of it just in time to hear Kovu's request. "I most certainly will, Kovu." He replied, smiling at his soon-to-be son-in-law. "That amulet fits you perfectly. Kiara's going to love it on you."

Kitabu hung her head. She suddenly remember what she had been so worried about in the first place. Her eyes began to water as she turned to Jamall and said quietly and meekly, "Yes, I very much am, Jamall. My parents would disown me if I were to get prganant..." At that point, she completely broke down and sobbed into Jamall's shoulder, not even attempting to support herself.
Kovu smiled back at Simba and then looked at the amulet now perched upon his groomed chest. It was gleaming with all its glory. He stared at it for a good few seconds in absolute awe, looked up once again at Simba and said, "I think she will, S-.....Dad."

Jamall nuzzled Kitabu, then hugged her close. "Hey, it's OK. You've got nothing to worry about." He said quietly, smiling reassuringly at her. "You see, there's this herb I started taking a few months ago. It makes me completly infertile, so long as I keep taking it. Which I have been doing. There's no way you could get pregnant." He explained, easily supporting her as she listened.
Simba smiled and nodded. He would have to remember to thank Jamall himself. That amulet seemed to mean a lot to Kovu. "Well, I think you are as well-groomed as possible. Why don't you head down to the Royal den. I'll meet you down there in a few minutes, I want to go speak with Nala."

Kitabu looked at Jamall in utter disbelief. Dispair suddenly turned into sheer relief. She stopped crying, took a depp breath, smiled at Jamall, and said, still somewhat sobbing, "Oh, Jamall, I'm sorry. I really am. I was just so worried....But now...I'm happy again." She added the last part with a playful grin.
Kovu nodded at Simba's words and began to make his way toward the Royal Den, avoiding the possiblity of others gazing at the amulet, but also not wanting to take it off. He made it to the Den, noticed Sky, Jamall's sister, padded up to her enthusiastically and said, "Hello, Sky! I want you to know how grateful I am to your brother and you for providing me with this amulet," he told her honestly, motioning toward his chest area where the amulet was in place.

Trinket woke up, on someones back. She yelped and jumped off. She didnt like this. She then saw Tullus and sighed. As of now, her brother wasnt doing a good job of watching her. She was so going to have to have a talk to him.
Tullus sighed when he heard Trinket. He only leant on Anara slightly. The gel helped a lot. He looked over and saw her pouting. "Stop it Trinket." he said softly. He sighed and looked forward. She was a lot to handle for a guy that had no one to help him. He sighed and looked at Priderock....this was the last place he wanted to be. He knew that his mother and ffather were killed here....Trinket didnt know that.

"Hey Trinket. I'll carry you again when you get tired if you want." Anara suggested softly and with a smile. She avoided looking at Tullus. She remembered him just barely from her days in the Outlands. He had lot's of problems back then, but she had liked him. A lot.

Jamall gave Kitabu a broad, happy smile. He nuzzled her cheek and purred softly, at the same time wrapping a foreleg around her and gently drawing her closer to him. "I love you, Kitabu." He whispered into her ear, pulling his head back so that he could look into her eyes.
Sky turned around and grinned at Kovu as he came up. She nodded as he spoke, then immediatly piped up. "That amulet looks great on you, Kovu." She replied, sitting down and relaxing. She did have to admit, Kovu looked jawdropping. She had never seen a male so well groomed and handsome, save for her brother and Simba. "And I bet Jamall was more than happy to give that to you for the wedding. After all, you're a part of this family now." She added.

Trinket sighed and nodded slightly. She walked under Anara and stayed there. She would rather walked away from Tullus, but that wasnt going to work. A tear slipped her eye. She missed her mother....She looked up at Anara and then nuzzled her leg. She sniffled softly andlooked at Tullus. He looked sad, upset, and hurt,,,,but feeling wise...not so much physical hurt.

Kovu looked up from the amulet and smiled warmly at Sky. "And I'm honored to be part of this great family....Sky, I really feel that, for the first time these past few days, that I belong here..."
Kitabu responded, "And I love you, Jamall." She then gave an elongated and soothing sigh as she rested her head on Jamall's shoulder. As she looked into his eyes, she giggled quietly and said, "I suppose that's sort of bittersweet, then...that you're infertile."

Jamall shrugged slightly and nuzzled into the fur on his mate's neck, breathing in her intoxicatingly wonderful scent. He pulled back and lightly licked her muzzle, then smiled at her. "Not really. The moment I stop taking the herb, I become fertile again." He replied, nuzzling her head gently. "I want to have cubs someday, after all." He added with a warm chuckle.
Sky smiled, padded up to Kovu, and nuzzled his shoulder in a brother-sister way. "Well, I am very glad to have you in this family. I think that you and Kiara are going to have a wonderful life together."

Kitabu felt that Jamall didn't understand. "No, Jamall, I mean bittersweet in the fact that we can do.....it.....all the time, but...I won't have a baby that is as handsome as you," she said to Jamall with quite a seductive grin.
Kovu nuzzled back. He then said, "Thank you, Sky. I'm sure we will." He then realized that the wedding was mere hours away, so he added, "I'm sorry, Sky, but I really gotta get going to get ready!"

Jamall mentally laughed at himself, at the same time nodding and grinning at Kitabu. "And we will never have a child as beautiful as you." He added, deciding that echoeing her words was appropriate. "So, we can do "it" all the time, eh?" He purred, seductivly running his paw down her flank and onto her hip and giving her a playful smile.
Sky smiled and nodded, then gently nudged his shoulder with a forepaw. "Then go!" She laughed, tilting her head towards the door. "And don't come back till you and Kiara have tied the knot, Kovu!" She added, teasingly.
