This just struck me today, what happened to Kiara being taught how to hunt? Besides giving Kuvo a reason to be alone with her. Sarabi was not seen in SP, but that does not mean she was not there. She was the head hunter in the pride. If not her, what about Nala, at the time of SP, she would have been the lioness in the best physical condition to hunt, so why didn't she teach her daughter the finer points of hunting?
Any one have any ideas?

My thoughts are because of Kopa's Death, and if you do not know of that then please look it up, Simba has desperately sheltered his daughter. I mean, he sent Timon and Pumbaa to watch her, it is highly possible that he never gave Nala or Sarabi a chance to teach her. It makes sense that she should know how to hunt, but you never know, it could be Disney just finding a plot to work with.

Well, I prefer to believe that after the incident with Zira and Kovu, as Ara alluded to, Simba had a short private meeting with Sarabi and Nala that they weren't to take Kiara out hunting more than was necessary for her to learn the basic concepts of it.

Yes I am very familiar with the Kopa mystery, i thought it was odd that all the pride lioness backed her before her first hunt, even Nala, said "You'll do fine".

I'm thinking it was Simba being overprotective, as well.

some just can't hunt... it;s the same with everything... some are built for it, others aren't. maybe kiara should do something else. not sure what, but... y'know!

Heh, I was just gonna say that she's a true member of the LLC but if you want a real answer, I'd have to go with Simba being too overprotective as well. Still, I think if she practiced more at hunting, she'd be just as good of a hunter as Nala was/is. If anyone's to blame, it's her parents for not teaching or letting her practice more on her hunting skills. hehe.

Yea. I guess Simba didn't want her to go out on her own cos the pridelands are more dangerous than when he was young cos of the outlanders and so on. And she's probably betrothed to someone and he doesn't want her meeting anyone else.

I think Kiara has been taught how to hunt by Nala or Sarabi.. It's not that she can't hunt-she just wasn't skilled enough..I'm sure she will make a fine hunter in the future.

I believe that it's Simba being overprotective and paranoid.

anyway, simba is over protective, we all know that (and the reason), but why cant he just tell make her learn the lesson at the pridelands? like how we learn at school LOL we dont go out into the wild to do something we just learn about it as much as we can in a safe place! i dont think no one told her even one rule of hunting lol she kept on making too much sounds...
