Ok, I know I'm not alone when I say this. Disney really needs to make a true Lion King series. I know, I know, there is Timon and Pumbaa, which is an ok show but come on, Timon and Pumbaa are just a small part of TLk and I mean a real series for the movies. There were many parts in both TLK and TLK2SP that skipped a ton of time. Disney could easily write storylines for shows about these times, like the time during the two or so years that it seemed TLK2SP skipped when it went from Kiara and Kovu as cubs to them being adults and same with TLK1 when Simba and Nala were cubs and then to adults. I'm sure there's plenty of interesting stuff that could of happened during those times. Disney really needs to feed our Lion King hunger and this would be a great, and easy way to get a Lion King fix. What happened to the good old days of Disney Afternoon line-ups. Those shows were great. What happened to you Disney. When did you come down with Jetix-itus and Power Ranger Fever. If Disney does create an actual Lion King series, please, we all know you have very very very deep pockets there Disney, so do us a favor and get the actual voice actors/actresses to revise their roles. Not as if any of them are terribly busy now-a-days. You already own Jason Marsden for life I think lol. I know that this is probably just a dream and will never happen because Disney has moved on but remember your roots Disney. Remember what made you so great in the first place and pay your respects to all your die-hard TLK Fans out there.

That's so sad Don't get me wrong, Computer Animation is great but there's nothing like the classics. They will be sorely missed.

Oh man, that'll be the day... They should come up with a series, they have two choices with the time skips. But, yeah.. Computers is now a every day thing.

Disney's actually making another hand-drawn movie: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Princess_and_the_Frog. Yeah, it'd be cool to see what happened during those times in the movie you never saw. Seeing how Simba and Nala were as cubs before Simba's exile would be cool... and I'd love some episodes where the adults tell stories about their past. I wonder what cubby Mufasa did, haha! I didn't like the Timon and Pumbaa series a lot because I though t it was almost too funny. Don't get me wrong, it succeeds at being funny, but the series should be like the movie: funny and serious.

Well, that's good to hear that Disney hasn't completely forsaken their origins.

That would be nice. I like the idea of it being Mufasa as cub. That'd be cute.

Maybe they could have a mini-series that leads up to the 4th film? How about that? lol

HEHEHE! FLASH BACKS! Mufasa remembers his cubhood. But what about Mohatu....can't forget about him. Maybe Ahadi could've told Muffy about his childhood.
In my new comic that I've recently drawn Ahadi and Mohatu have a terrible past.
Maybe we could make our own mini-series for all the die-hard fans and post it on youtube, giving Disney credit for the characters. It only has to be about 15 mins long, I know of a couple of good storylines. hehehe, that could be cool.
OKay....I'm a little insane but it could work. PLEASE think about it

I say they don't focus TOO much time on a series right now, but instead focus more along the lines of at least one more film... disregard LK1/2 as canon (for the most part) and take it out of the "official series" and make a Lion King III based on Kovu and Kiara's cubs (Simba and Nala still alive, mind you)... Have a release date for LK3 for about 2010 or 2011, then after that focus on a TV series: Season 1 & 2 Mufasa and Scar's childhood. Season 2: Simba's Childhood (before banishment) Season 3: Half of it show Simba's life with Timon and Pumba and then the other half about Kopa, Simba's son and how he died. Season 4 & 5: Kovu and Kiara's childhood. Season 6: Kovu and Kiara's cub's childhood... then wait to see what happens.

I have to disagree with you all. I don't think there should be any series. I don't enjoy 'Timon And Pumbaa' at all. Plus, people don't put so much effort into their work in TV series as they do in movies. I bet most of you would get disappointed if there eventually would be TV series of TLK.

I suppose you're right... just take this for example: Look at Simba, this isn't what you want for Lion King is it?

Nice picture *lmao*. I believe that's a stuffed animal version of Simba. Just look at his paws.
I saw a episode where Timon and Pumbaa had to find a lion to protect them or something like that. That lion wore clothes and had a TV and other stuff in his cave. No offense, but I think that's pretty dumb.

Well when I was young I used to watch evey morning a Spin-off series from the Middle East but which was made in Japan I believe. Cant remember the name of the show but it was very good. It had the same plot, Simba gets exiled while Scar becomes king. But in this serie Scar is a tiger (kinda like Shere Khan from the Jungle Book) who murdered Simbas whole family to gain power. While Simba is exiled he meets new friends & makes alliance with other animals to wage war on Scar and reclaim his throne. Other then that I dont remember much, I saw it like when I was 6 or 7.
