It sure is. Unfortunately, it doesn't have any good competition, really.

Out of the three TLK movies, Simba's Pride is my favorite. I like all three movies alot but Simba's Pride, in my opinion, had better songs, a better antagonist and just as good, if not better storyline as the first movie. I was disappointed by the Special Features on the DVD however. Favorite SP Character: Kiara (of course) Favorite Scene: When Kiara first runs out from Pride Rock. So Adorable! Least Favorite Character: Zazu (cough-cough) Favorite Quote: Kovu: "Bet you're daddy's little girl heh-heh"

One of the things that I think would have added a lot to the movie was showing some of Simba's "Hakuna Matata" side. It was sorta cute how he worried so much over Kiara just how he disliked Mufasa worrying over him, but I think it was overplayed. If they had integrated him being his relaxed carefree self from the first movie but later having to make Kiara realize that not everything can be taken lightly, it would have made him a more believable character.
She could have grown up with a very casual father, but would need that lesson during the movie and so Simba would have to reluctantly have play the reserved stern parent so that she would obey.

I don't remember the theme...it's been a while.
I got the Special Edition DVD the day it was released. At Walmart, maybe?
No one is selling it new anymore, though. Your only chance of getting it is used, from eBay or Amazon Auctions (or any other auction site.)

Great idea, nicknack, I totally agree! Right after Kiara's birth, Simba would still be in the "Hakuna Matata" mentality, because Zira and the outlanders wouldn't have been a threat yet. (unless you believe Kopa exists and was born before... in that case Kopa totally should have been in TLKSP) It would be great to see how Simba comes to be so overprotective of Kiara, and in the process, we would see the rise of the outlanders.
