I'll start. My name is Lyn, and I'm a TLK-a-Holic. I have more TLK stuff than my kids do normal toys. I dress my kids in TLK clothes and I own a website that I spend entirely too much time on. Oh, yeah, and my son is singing "Circle of Life" as his audition song for the drama club at school. *lol* I've dragged my kids into my addiction. Anyone else wanna share?

I'm addicted to TLK, though it probably doesn't show like it does with everyone else. I'll jsut go into an explantion of my story.
When the Lion King first came out, I was addicted. I had the video and would watch it again and again; then Simba's Pride came out and I loved that even more! I bought a Kovu plushie and loved ot deeply; then when I turned about 12, I went through a stupid stage of thinking that cartoons were too young for me, so I took the vidoes to the charity shop. I kept the plushie, but since then it has gotten lost. As I got older, I began to to realise how stupid I was and thought that cartoons were great again, so I would watch cartoons all over again, and started getting addicted to the Lion King, but by that time it was too late as I can nolonger find any of the DVDs in the store anymore because they have all been withdrawn. The only way to get them is on the interent, which I'mnot allowed to do and no amount of begging will get me them. So for months I tried to find a TLK forum to make up for the loss and finally I found this site. Now I spend far too muh time on here, but don't regret a moment of it. Lion King Rocks lol!

*shuffles up to podium* Um, hello everyone, I'm a fellow TLK-a-Holic and I'd like to share my story... Considering I'm a couple years younger than most other people here, I first saw TLK at the age of two or three when my mom bought me the VHS. I know I liked it a lot then, but it didn't stand out a lot from the 15 or so other Disney movies I watched incessantly. My Aunt bought me a SP tape when it came out (I think I was six or so) and I loved that as well. As I got older my little sister came along and started watching TLK as well. I never really stopped enjoying those Disney movies so I would watch over her shoulder most of the time. Then I realized, "hey, Simba and Kovu are pretty cool", but that was about it. Then last year, I watched it again and something clicked. I loved it soooooo much and since then I've watched it probably eight or nine times (which is hard since it's only been at times when no one else is home. ) But after that I started buying stuff. I got the sheet music book for my birthday, and bought the Broadway CD a little after. I also made a Simba tee-shirt as a project for Shop class (although I wish there were places I could wear it where people didn't stare at me funny... ) And then I found this site in August and I'm doing pretty well now. ^_^ ...and hey, I'm actually considering singing Circle of Life as an audition for my school's spring musical. It's not that unusual...

* walks to the stage* Hi my names Kovu and i think i am a TLK-a-holic Let me tell you a stroy I first saw The Lion King the day it came out in England (i belive it was mid 1994) i must have been 5 years old at the time and i journeyed to the cinema with my my mums friend and her dauther. I don't really remember that much from that particular night but i do remember i was captivated by the experience. Even at such a young age my mind was being molded in to a TLK nut. After seeing the film i was hooked and i immediatly asked for as much TLK merchandise as i could lay my hands on. That christmas i recieved the lion king soundtrack on tape (unfortunatly i lost it about a year later) i would listen to it all the time, in the car, out with my parents on a n old portable tape player, you name it i listened too it everywhere. I slowly began to go off of the Lion King as i got older (i know iknow throw tomatos at me) beliving it too be childs film. When Simba's Pride came out, thats when my obbesion went nuts Whwn i first saw it i was again mesmerized by it. I instantly loved Kovu he seemed to sum me up in everyway (well apart from being a lion which sometiimes i wish i was). Over the years i have slowly but surely built up my collection of everything Lion king. It has only been in the last couple of years that i realised i can change my name and my room to how i want, so about 6 months ago i filed to have my name changed to Kovu and it finally came through about 3 weeks ago so my name was offically changed to Kovu Graham Webb (i think it has a nice ring too it). Many people think i am strange in my obssesion with the Lion King but as far as i am concerened it's a free country. My parents are fine with my obsession but my friends were a little reluctant about it , i guess they were a little creeped out that a person could be so obbesed with a film as i am. In the future i plan to expand my TLK merchandise I plan to get TLK tattoos after my 18th birthday, i have already picked out the first one. Whwn i formed the band i am in at the moment i had no plans to make covers of any of the TLK songs, but then i began to think '' Hell why not'' again my friends where a little reluctant to start with but i managed to talk them around. When i found this site it was as if my dreams had come true i had finally after many years of searching found people who shared my obsession. So i thank you all for that. I shall leave you with a few words that mean a lot too me ''Nobodys going to change me'' those words were said by the almighty Ozzy Osbourne Thank you *goes and sits down*

"I'm here today because I'm addicted." lol
Well, my story starts out like a lot of people here. My mom got the video when it came out. (I was about 2 or 3) I watched it. Took it the same as any other Disney movie. 2nd and 3rd come out, and I do the same thing. August of 2006 and me and my brother are having a Lion King Movie Marathon (so fun!!). And it hits me; I'm CRAZY about these movies!! Then I go insane, thinking about the movies, wondering what I'm going to do about this. Then I go on the internet searching for stuff, and I end up finding this place! I was relieved to find other people that felt the same way too! I have been here ever since (which has been like 3 months).
Thank You!

Oou, can I go up again, I've got some more story to add.
Yesterday I went into town and had a look around the market place; there was a guy who sold loads of videoes and DVDs and yes! Yes! Yes! He had both TLK 1&2. He didn't have TLK 3, but I was 2 was better than none. He had TLK 1 on DVD, only it wouldn't work on my DVD player because mine isn't multi regional, so I've now got them both on video again. I'm so happy!

*raises Paw* Tashi T Lioness here The first time I saw the Lion King was on my birthday. Lions have always been my favorite animal so I was super psyched to see they made a movie with lions. I had already been a lion collecter so I started getting everything lionking. I used to have every inch of my walls covered in pictures from magazines, outdated LK calendars, pics from the internet, etc. I think I have about every LK book ever published,I even bought and kept all 4 of those cheerios boxes at the same time to make sure i didnt miss one. I usually have more than one copy of each book, one to keep and one to cut for wall pics. The day it moved to the cheap theatres, my Gramma took my brother and me to see it. I was even more enthralled. I have both videos and used to have the DVDs too. The first day people were able to put copys on reserve, we made my dad get us one. He bought us the soundtrack that same night to hold us over. I also got rhythm of the pridelands the day it came out. I have searched and searched but had no luck finding the SP ST I have hundreds of stuffed lions and some are quite large lol, My family always gives me lion King items for Christmas and birthdays. And I am lucky cause I couldn't have afforded my collection alone. I know every word in every line but still have never see 'sex' spelled out in the clouds

Oh. You all were TLk-a-holic for a long time. What about me, I had become TLk-fan only by the time I completed my first exam in the MIPT. Let me tell the story about.
I was only 9, when watched this movie "The Lion-King" for the first time. I went to the cinema with my friends, they were impressed with it, I felt nothing. I thought no well about lions, they (lions like Simba) were only carnivorous for me. I hated them (what a fool I was). Second movie came into screens, I watched motion picture movie about lions again. Now I even can't remember something about this. I failed to take the first place in some sort of maths challenge, the last thing took my mind.
Many years I passed through. I became keen on pyisics and math, I even started to study these subjects in Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (somewhat like MIT in America, or some sort of "red-brick university" in U.K.).
By this time I had watched "Ice Age" and "Monsters inc." and they impressed me, I was inspired. And I wanted to buy em. I came to the VHS/DVD shop and asked for them, but my request was declined. Maneger was confused as this shop was my favourite and they didn't have something I wanted. He offered to me to take new disc named as "The Lion-King Special Edition". I took it just 'cause I had to check my new DVD-combo recorder on my computer. So I watched "The Lion-King" the second time by accident! And I had treated it like common movie untill I cought the song "Can you fell the Love tonight". Next three years of my life was dedicaded to TLK. I bought a new TV, sound system, started to study "installing technology" 'cause I wanted to watch it like I did many years ago in the Puskinsky cinema theater. I started to present TLk stuff to my friends: plushi-mufasa, "The Lion-King gift set", six disc edition and plushi-simba I presented to Thomas Anders during his concert.
Now everyone of you can make a decision: am I TLK-a-holic or not.

I have, but it's actually "SFX", the initials for the special effects group that worked on the movie. Aargh, my friends and I are locked in an endless war over whether that message is SEX or SFX. I refuse to accept the fact that it could be SEX no matter what anyone says!
