Okay, I don't agree with what they are doing of course, but why is this a huge deal. They are fighting for what they believe in, therefore, if I said I had a problem in fighting in what they believe in then I would be extremely hypocritical. I always tell everyone to fight for what they believe in...and they are. So, they're doing what they seem is correct. Sure, their wrong, but is it really a huge deal? I mean, I'm Pro-Same Sex Marriage, but by arguing about/with those who are opposed to it is very unfair and a waste of time. They are wrong, yes. But they are not wrong for fighting for what they believe is "the American Way" or whatever they are calling it. It's frustrating that people get offended when people state their opinion but you just need to move on. I was called a wop a few days ago for being for Gulliani (sp?) who never made it to the race really, and I was called a cracker today because I wasn't for Obama. And for anyone who doesn't know what a wop is, it is the racial slur for an Italian. I didn't fight them. I ignored them, because by saying that they want confrontation. No one is always going to agree with you. The human brain is not made to live in peace. As long as there is free will there will be people opposing to what you believe in. So, I think they can go off and protest and do whatever they please, because it will be putting a dent in their wallets and in the long run they will lose.
There's my opinion...and I really did not mean for it to be this long.

If you put it that way, we as well, are also "Fighting for what we believe in", because that is just what I myself believe. I think that people should stop worrying about gays, and start worrying about the fact that were going back into the great depression. I don't think gays are gods way of punishing us for our sins either. I know people can think what they want, but not when it's discriminating another human.

How is it different that they are saying "No to Gays" while people are saying "Yes to Abortion"? It's discrimination yes, but it is what they believe in. Arguing about it never helps. All I'm trying to say is I don't think it's right to judge a person on what they believe. It's not fair. Those protesters, I know some of them and they are some of the sweetest people I know, while others aren't. They think one thing is wrong while someone else doesn't. So what? And, we're not going into a depression. Depression doesn't always follow a recession, dude.

How are we not going into another great depression, when everyone around me is being kicked out of their house (Foreclosed), and even were doing bad, and we got 4 people in the house working? Do you know what the great depression is?

Okay, people, let's not get into another heated argument. And let's try to stay on topic, okay? Thanks . I do believe that anti-gay protesters have every right to protest against this. However, I think that some of these people have something wrong in their emotional life or something like that. I mean, most normally happy people wouldn't fly all the way from Kansas to California to protest a small-time SCHOOL production. I mean, come on! And no matter what, as Ara said above, there WILL always be people protesting your beliefs. However, if you or someone else is to do that, please do it in a peaceful and respectful manner. Yelling out slurs such as "God hates f.ags" and "Re-Criminalize Sodomy" is not peaceful protest at all. Yelling out slurs is rude and disrespectful. And it hurts emotionally as well.

I completely agree with you Miko. At least someone, understood what I was trying to get out. I couldn't find the words to figure out how to say it. Thank you very very much. =]
And, WS, I'm not going to say much more than this. Foreclosure is because of a housing boom that helped caused a recession. Depression is made by careless people, the main cause of the depression was everyone taking their money out of the banks because they were overprotective. The banks do not have enough money to support that. We are not even close to going down that road. There is a huge difference between "Hard Financial Times" and "Depression". I've been through Civics and Economics class and I just passed a college U.S. History course with flying colors, so don't talk to me like I know nothing. I am not a ruddy idiot. Have a nice day. =]

However, I do disagree with their message and I still get a bit angry every time I see it.

That's one of the big issues, Miko. Their discriminating, by saying stuff as you said before. They even reffered to being gay as "United we Fall". They seem to think God hates gay people. That's all I'm going to say. I'm all for expressing what you feel, but when your taking away others freedom, it's just like spitting in their face.

Well, if it is what they think then that's what they think. Now, yelling profanities and discriminatory comments is extremely wrong and frankly it is upsetting to hear it all. They are doing what they believe is correct and when people for Gay Rights protest, like myself. Like you should see my sign it was pretty awesome...even though I couldn't go to the protest it still made it. I'll send a pic of it eventually. Anyways, when people protest for something then others have the right to do the same and when one says that they have no right to say anything or anything of that sort then you are taking away thier freedom. There is really no way for either side to win, truly. It's human nature.

Well, no anti-gay protesters showed up at my school's production. They went to Obama's grandma's funeral instead. Now no matter what you believe in, that's straight up wrong. Protesting a funeral! GET A LIFE PEOPLE!

i Catholic, and I can tell you right now that I know someone who was badly abused by a, hmmmmmm, I wanna say baptist, but I know protestant, deacon, you find it in all church denominations, including, unfortunately, the Catholic Church, so the rumor isn't 100% true, secondly, tearthhgrl, if you want to look into Catholocism, sure, I can tell you from experience, if you find a traditional mass, it's beautiful, nothing like it, and lastly, I thought this forum was about the Phelps Family moving to the UK, not a religious debate, so can we all BACK OFF of each other? ty

I see no proof of the devil, even if there is a god. As far as we know, after death, nothing happens. No proof, unless someone died for a whole day, and came back to life and told us what happened. I think we can thank terrorists for 9/11...

Im confused, why would we thank terrorists for 9/11?

We shouldn't thank them, I was reffering to the sign sindragon was talking about saying that We should thank god for 9/11, and I was saying it's terrorists we should thank for 9/11, in other words, it was terrorists, not god.
