"It's still the same caliber," Santiago commented as he lifted his right hand and kicked the guns out of Raf's hand in a crescent kick before jumping and catching the guns in the air. He checked the safety locks on the guns as he landed and twirled them around on his index fingers by the trigger and raised an eyebrow.
"I can do tricks too."
He started to smirk as he put the guns down on the table so Raf could reclaim them once again. The little secret that he hadn't told anybody but Lara was that when he was a teenager, Santiago traveled to Israel and went through Moussad training with one of his good friends Ziva. Ever since then people were scared to cross him after seeing what he could do with his guns in terms of tricks. He guessed that they figured if he was that good with doing tricks, he would easily be that good at shooting. And they would be right.

Raf united his head and raised an eyebrow, grinning widely. "I can see you trained under the Moussad as well." Raf said. "I never stayed long. Went off to find others to teach me as well." He said, scooping up both, and twirling them on his middle fingers, actually tossing them spinning, over each arm, then continuing to spin them, literally both parallel to the ground in his hands with his indexes working like demons, though he showed nothing more than passive concentration and interest. They were both caught in his hands, pointing down with the handles to him. His holsters both pointed down, with the handles away from him. With two fingers, both smoothly changed directions, and were put away without further ado. "You're good. We really should try killing each other some time." He said, an unseen wink going by. "It'd be interesting to see how another Moussadi of your caliber handles his. No pun intended."

"Yes, I'll put that just above 'Jump off the bridge because my friends said to' on my to-do list," Santiago inputted with his sarcastic humor. If there was anything that the Moussad-trained criminalist could be guilty of then it would have to be having dry, sarcastic humor with a touch of irony. In fact, he was notorious for his comments about various things.
Most recently his team had worked the scene of a plane crash and five minutes after he had gotten the plane's black box back to the lab his partner asked if he had learned anything. That question got the sarcastic response of, "Well we learned that the black box is actually orange. Other than that? Not much. We're still decrypting the codes to see what the last transmissions were."

"Hmmmm. Still on the list. It's a deal." Raf said, popping his neck. "I suppose we'd better check up on Laura. I haven't seen or heard from her in almost an hour." Raf said, checking his rolex. "And if this Sheridan character is as much of a girl scout as I've heard, she may already be dead." He said, swinging on a heel and ignoring the flapping flare his coat made as he left.

"Actually, Lara nearly killed him in China, I think he should worry about her more. He was following her like a puppy," Santiago said as he rolled his eyes. Of course he had heard about Sheridan, and what he heard had been biased. It had come from Lara after all.
In fact he had yet to formally meet Sheridan. Not that he did, he was pretty sure he would wring the man's neck if he was left alone with him. Then again that might be too gentle. Santiago began going through the small stack of drawers behind him while looking for a paper clip.

[[ Well, this is a lot of fun with our 2nd main villan M.I.A. again.... I'm at my wit's end. ]]
Raf walked out of the room, passing an empty study with the door wide open. It meant nothing to him, out of the very fringes of his peripherals, if.... He stopped, hard enough that the breeze he created, wafted over him and ruffling his hair. "Hello....?" He asked, leaning back in the door. There, on the wall, was a mural-sized picture of a certain croft, next to her father as a child. "Hmm. Family memories." He dismissed, continuing down the hall.

" Lara, however, didn't return the smile. Her serious expression stayed where it was on her face. "If 'same old' involved possibly selling this thing on the black market like you planned on with Pandora's Box? You're a dead man. And this time I mean it, you won't be so lucky." My smile vanished. "That's a low blow Croft and you know it" I said. I was ready to go on this mission. I would help Lara but if she was going to treat me like this it may be a problem. "I've apologized for that and i mean it." I said looking her straight in the eye. "Give me a chance to show I've changed Croft. Thats all i'm asking for"

"And that's what you're getting. A chance. One chance," Lara replied as she walked back into the manor's tech room. While deep down inside, the tomb raider was glad that Sheridan had apologized, she still was suspicious as to his motivation. She guessed that they would become more evident once they set out to Brazil.
"Okay, everybody here?" Lara asked as she stepped into the tech room while Hilary walked in with a tea tray full of tea cups filled with freshly made tea. Santiago turned around and nodded as he tilted his head slightly, studying Sheridan carefully.
Great. I gotta work with this clown? I hate clowns, Santiago thought as his eyes narrowed slightly.

I sighed and followed Lara. I hoped that she would be able to forgive me. I regretted what i had done. It ruined the relationship i had had with Lara. I missed that feeling of knowing she loved me. The man named Santiago was staring at me. I met his eyes and stared right back. I wasn't going to be the first to look away.

"I could keep this up for hours," Santiago warned as he glared right back at Sheridan. He didn't trust the guy, even if Lara did. His hands were fidgeting as they rested dangerously close to his holstered guns.
"Cut it out you two," Lara said as she crossed her arms and stared down the two. She didn't want to make a scene and she had the feeling that Sheridan didn't either. "This is Terry Sheridan. He'll be working with us on this mission."

I didn't want to look away but i did because Lara told me to. "Whatever you say Croft, you're the boss" I said smiling a bit. I then looked back at Santiago. "Nice to meet you" I said and offered him my hand. I didn't know if he'd take it. He was so suspicious. Maybe he was a coward to. I smirked a bit and waited.

Santiago rolled his eyes and turned his attention to Lara. He could read people like a book and she knew that Sheridan was studying his reaction to see if he was a coward. "Your tactics won't work," Santiago warned as he looked at Lara who rolled her eyes.
"I've arranged for some friends to get my Range Rover and me transported to Brazil. Unfortunately, they can't transport you so you're on your own there," Lara said as Santiago sighed and dialed Marco again.
"Yeah, I'm gonna need that copter a bit longer."

I narrowed my eyes. I didn't like this Santiago. "Do i need to get my own transportation." I asked Lara. I could if i needed to but it would be much easier and more legal to go with Lara. I hoped she knew that there wasn't going to be a legal way for me to get my own transportation and that she would let me come with her because of it.

"Sorry, I can't. If I did," Lara replied as she pulled up the GPS coordinates of the ruins, "I'd have to kill you."
Reason being nobody was supposed to know that Lara had worked with the British SAS. The squad she trained and worked with was currently on its way to her location to pick her up. Really she wasn't sure if it mattered since she was out of the SAS now, but then again her friends weren't. And quite frankly she didn't wanna sit through a thirteen hour chopper ride with Terry Sheridan.
"Yeah, across the Atlantic. Yeah, we'll be making a pit stop along the way," Santiago said as he paced around a bit with his Blackberry in his hand. On the other side was the person he codenamed 'Marco'. Marco in all actuality wasn't a man, nor was her name Marco, it was Ziva. Santiago was using his Moussad connections to get a flight out to Brazil. He'd fly solo as well, because he was sure in the first half hour of sitting with Sheridan, he'd kill the man.

"Then I guess that leaves me to swim over." Raf said, not wanting to beg the foundation for transport. They were ornery /b/tards; they expected hoards of discovery and "archaeological" riches within the first 2 days, yet he and his associates usually ended up paying for most everything out of pocket, and getting "I.O.U.'s" out the wazoo.
Not this time, though. Nope; this would be totally on his own. Screw the foundation, AND the university. If anything was to be had from this, it was his alone. Anything was better than their "you pay for it, we'll take credit and money for it" 'tude. "I'll split costs with anyone willing to lemme hitch a ride...." He offered, hoping he would not need to book the "authorized" transport firm at almost $7,000. Per crossing. He came back to the world from his frustrated musings, and looked across the other faces.
His offer's silence was drawn short by the timely entrance of the butler, with goodies. Even though he was the last to be served (even behind that dog Sheridan) he was grateful none the less. "Killer tea, Hill. Just the way I like it." He said, nodding gratefully, and draining a cup in one swig.

I sighed and took a cup of tea. That wasn't the answer i wanted to hear. "Lara, as far as the government is concerned i don't exist." I told her. However i could get transportation would be highly illegal. Do you really want something illegal done?" I asked her staring at her hard. If she said no it would not only mean i had to find my own transportation but it would hurt badly. Not physically but it would hurt that she didn't want me anywhere near her.

"I think that that's your problem to bear as I really don't care until you prove yourself to me once more," Lara replied as she crossed her arms while Santiago put his phone back into his pocket. She wanted to make sure that Sheridan wouldn't go behind her back and try to doom all of humanity again before she allowed him to ride in a chopper with her. I mean, let's face it, who could blame her?

"So I'll catch up to you guys then...." Raf muttered with a sigh, leaning back in his chair. Now that riding with one of them was out, he figured booking passage on a cargo ship, then various car-trips down into the Amazon would take about..... 6 weeks, and $12,500. Goody. Destroying the staff had better be worth it....
[[ I know we got the Terry d00d under 3vil, but either Jadena's trying her d@mnedest to make him good in the end after all, or doing a REALLY good job of tricking us(me). T.T Should we just make him good an invent another 3vil person if she is, or vas? ]]

[[I'll move Terry to good for now. And really, that was Sheridan's character during the movie, he was kinda' a kiss up to Lara to prove himself before trying to sell Pandora's Box]]
