That section that they added into TLK1.. Personally, I think it ruined it. Because as far as I could see, that was computerised.. And TLK was originally hand-drawn..
I for one, didn't think that it needed to be added. How about you?

Awww. I actually liked the song lol. I thought it added a bit more humor to the movie. The lyrics are really funny. I didn't mind them adding in more TLK just so long as it fit, which it did. I mean, it didn't ruin the experience for me at least. It just made it like 3 minutes longer or so lol. I could never hate any thing TLK related like that so of course I have to defend it. ^^ Also, let us not forget that computers were used during the original movie too for like the stampede scene and what-have-you so to say that the original movie was completely hand drawn would be false lol. Nevertheless though, I still didn't mind however they added that in. Like I said, just as long as it fit into the movie, it wasn't bad in my opinion. It must have also been a little more of an incentive for people to go see the film in iMax theaters too so as long as it brought new TLK fans more joy and perhaps even made new TLK fans, I'm all for it!

Yeah, about the stampede scene, I heard that they had to write like 2 brand new computer programs/software for them to make that scene. Correct me if im wrong.

Well, I think it was okay... especially since they still gave you the option to watch the movie without that scene! From what I've read, they animated The Morning Report with the same animators and methods (hand-drawn characters with some computer effects), so it fits in pretty well. I think the song's pretty funny, but I don't like how it was transitioned to. Mufasa says the classic Circle of Life line, and then immediately after with no pause, Zazu flies in... kinda ruined a classic moment for me. Yeah, the stampede scene was pretty intense computatively... in this book I was reading about computer simulations of movement, I was so happy when it mentioned The Lion King's stampede as an example of it in use.

I thought the song was good but the original I thought was better

I think that the song was cute, but Simba's voice didn't sound like the original at all, and Simba didn't look like the original at all either. I like the song, but I like the original version better.

That's because when they added the song, the original actor for young Simba was an adult himself, so they had to find a new voice actor. But at least the new kid sounded fairly close.

I am on every one side in this I think thought it was a cool little song but they should maybe have made it in to the film better cos it is quite random and stuff

I didn't mind at all about the change, I found it quite fun, and I enjoyed the song. But yes, Emily, it's easy to tell the difference from the animation of the original and the morning report. But it wasn't computerized, it was also hand drawn, it's just easy to see it's different because it was made in 2003. Quality this decade has been upgraded too much to look like the original. I like both the original and the new added scene. And I found it wonderful that they gave Zazu more screen time in doing the morning report, I found that Zazu was rarely used. Disney understood that others may not like it, but they wanted to have some fun and see what they could do and add on it, that's all, but at least they put the original on as well. And I believe that the disney animators that did the scene did very well on Mufasa.

I hated it, because it cut out the classic Mufasa teaching Simba how to pounce Scene.

I love both versions, the change was fun and the original is classic, haha! Mufasa doing that twirl thing to get Zazu to turn around. I love it!

lol, I like this scene as well. I find it funny how Simba just pounced Zazu out of nowhere and he just turns around and starts singing.
