Hmmm. Well I've been wondering about this for a while.
Zazu did tell Simba and Nala when they were young about being betrothed. He specifically said they would be 'married' But we never actually saw a wedding. However, at the End of SP, Kiara and Kovu had that lil ceremony where they walked away past all the other lionesses. I was wondering if y'all thought that was a 'wedding'? If so, do you think Nala & Simba had one like that we never saw, or when they walked behind Kiara and Kovu, were they finally getting married right then?

There was that period of time when the pridelands had to rejuvinate. That had to have taken a LONG time, during which simba & nala probably tied the knot.

Going from memory,(which aint all that good anyway...) Wasn't the animal turnout much bigger for simba's presentation to his futue subjects than Kiara's?

Ok, I agree, its very likely S&N's was offscreen. What I'm asking though, is do you think that lil scene at the end was sposta be a wedding?

Maybe.... I think it was just for a drama-y effect. Or, it could be Kovu's exile discontinument.

*laughing* Well, I don't think they have formal weddings. I think that ceremony at the end of SP might have been a wedding, because it seemed they were being presented as a couple.
But, as for Simba and Nala....I think it was probably off screen.

maybe it was just saying that they are king or queen. so thats how they become king or queen. nala & simba was just doing a bow. i the end of lk simba roared to become king

Hmm... Wikipedia says nothing of marrage... It only says the roar is to commemorate the unification of the pride...

You mean, in real life, Lions actually gather to see their new leader roar? Wow... that's so cool...
At least Lions see their species roar. Humans have to watch their leaders come up with stupid plans to 'seduce' you to vote for them... lol...

Hmm, well, I think that a marriage would be a huge event - kind of like the presentations of Simba or Kiara, or the exile of Kovu. Maybe the walking through the circle of lionesses was kind of like a peace treaty, and then they would have another accepting Kovu/Kovu-Kiara marriage ceremony in front of all of the animals. Also, another thing that came to mind is that since Simba and Nala were betrothed, maybe before birth, Simba's presentation could also have been followed by Nala's presentation (off-screen), creating a marriage ceremony by presenting the future King and Queen. Although, would another ceremony occur after Simba seemingly came back from the dead? Anyways, that's just my interpretation... lion ceremonies could be anything in the Lion King universe!
