Most of you probably klnow this already, but some of the character names have Swahili meanings.
Sarabi-mirage Simba-lion Zira-hate Nuka-stink Kovu-scar Ahadi-promise Uru-diamonds Taka-worthless thing
(last three don't appear in the movie, but are widely used in fanfiction and fanart.)
Shenzi- savage Banzai-skulk Rafiki-friend Pumbaa-simpleton

My origanal characters also have Swahili names. Raha-joy Kamusi-dictionary(I thought it sounded cool) Mwako-it means something but I'm not telling. Nala means 'gift' in some language and Sarafina means 'bright star'.

Nyang'au-savage person/hyena Furaha- happiness
Over on the left of the screen there's this thing that says 'translate'. There's a little box there. Type in the word you want to translate. If its English make sure you have English-Swahili selected or if its Swahili you want Swahili-English.

I think it's like the equivalent of $53 in USD. Last I checked the exchange rate for British pounds was like 1.77 something. (I work for a bank.) But that's the price to do it over there. Where I live (NJ) it costs a filing fee of $200, plus court fees, plus they recommend you get a lawyer so you have to pay them too. You have to prove you are not changing your name to escape prison or warrants for your arrest, etc. Probably, altogether, it costs over $1000. Not to mention gas to the court, getting a new social security card, paying $16 for a new driver's license, plus fees for all the docs you need to prove your identity if you don't have originals. Whew. Not me, I'll just keep my name.
