"Hey, wanna play hide-and-seek around Pride Rock, Muko?" Keirgo asked, excitedly.
"Yeah, we should. C'mon!" Kamua replied, beaming at Epesi, as he turned to go back to Pride Rock.

"Ok. Lets go." Epesi purred padding after her mate to his father's den.

[Apologies for my extreme absence. There be a thread in my den further apologizing for it, if you lot care to read it.]
Kam smiled warmly at Epesi, then, acting on a impulse, the young lion lightly but affectionately nibbled the side of her neck as he walked alongside her, hoping to elicit a purr from the beautiful lioness with the action.
"C'mon then, let's go!" Keirgo exclaimed, already bolting out of the den, eagerly contemplating all the cool places he could show Muko, and NOT get in serious trouble from his mom in the process.
"I hope Keirgo doesn't get himself and Muko into trouble..." Jamall sighed quietly, watching his nephew bolt towards the den's exit. His nephew was as responsible as was possible for a cub of his age, and almost never did get himself in trouble, but considering how Jamall loved Muko as a son now, he was naturally inclined to worry for both the young lads.

"Hey! Wait up!" Muko called, immediately speeding after his cousin. Kiki smiled. "They'll be fine. The worst that could happen is-" She stopped herself from saying what she was thinking. The worst that could happen was that Simba would find Muko. Her last experience with the King hadn't exactly been a friendly one.

"Is Simba finding Muko." Jamall finished, essentially reading Kiki's thoughts. He sighed and slowly shook his head, looking down at his paws. "I really don't like that lion. A idiotic, pompous, self-righteous, racist fool, he is..." He muttered, ears laying back against his head.
Keirgo paused for a moment, just long enough to let Muko catch up, then he took off again. "Come on! Let's go to to the old caves! This way!" He shouted excitedly, leading the jaguar cub down Pride Rock.

Kiki sighed and tried to make herself look cheerful again. "But that's the very worst. We probably have nothing to fear." she purred, giving Jamall a loving nuzzle. After all, Pride Rock was a big place and Simba was only one lion.
Muko took off again after Keirgo. It seemed kind of strange to him to have another cub to play with. He had always just played with his mother. He wondered how lions managed to live so close together, and he was suddenly glad to have a den just for him and his parents.

[I'm not sure who you were playing, Kye. xP]
Jamall smiled faintly as he felt Kiki nuzzle him. That alone made him feel much better, but he still vaguely wished that he had not given permission for the two boys to run off unadvised by him, Kiki, or his sister. "Probably not." He repeated, lightly and affectionately nuzzling over Kiki's head.
"Right, it's just down here... But watch your step, there's a lotta debris in here, and it'll take your eyes a couple moments to adjust to the dim lighting!" Keirgo advised, ducking through a relatively small crack in the edge of a otherwise solid crack of rock on the side of Pride Rock. The crack was just big enough that Jamall *might* be able to squeeze through, albeit uncomfortably. On the other side it was indeed dark, with a few patches of dimly glowing red stuff for lighting.
"My mom said that this was used as a shelter years ago, before she was even born. She said that the pride would hide in here whenever a bigger pride attacked them, and then in the dead of night, they'd creep out and ambush their attackers when they were asleep. But it hasn't been used in generations, and most people have forgotten about the caves." Keirgo said, working deeper into the very dimly lit caverns, which were fairly roomy.

"I love you." Kiki whispered, turning her head to gaze at her mate. She kept Muko present in her mind, but allowed her worry over him to calm itself.

((Whoops! Forgot Muko!))
Muko blinked to adjust his eyes to the dimness of the cave. "Whoa! This is cool!" he exclaimed once he could see properly. He had to admit: Even though it was a closed space, it was awesome!

"Yeah, it is cool, isn't it?" Keirgo replied, heading even further into the caves. "C'mon, the old storeroom is this way!"
Jamall smiled warmly at Kiki as she spoke those three little words that made his life worth living. The lion slowly brought his lips to hers, and planted a short but sweet kiss on her lips. "I love you too, Kiki."

"Is there any stuff still in the storeroom?" Muko asked curiously. If there was, then that just meant more things to play with!
Kiki purred then stood up. "You should get some exercise." she teased, heading outside. The jaguar looked out at the rippling golden grasses of the savannah, still wondering at how different it was from the jungle.

"Not really. There's a little of this really really sweet root stuff that Uncle Jamall got for me as a treat. I hid it here to keep the other cubs from stealing it from me. You can have some, if ya want!" Keirgo replied, as he padded into the storeroom, which was slightly better lit with more numerous plants, all glowing a dim white.
"You saying I'm out of shape, beautiful?" The lion asked with a laugh, as he rose to his paws and padded after the amazing spotted cat he happily called his mate and true love. "Well then... I know it's more of a cub thing, but..." Jamall lifted a paw, then lightly nudged Kiki's flank with the furry appendage. "You're it." And with that, Jamall bolted off into the tall grass, a big, mischievous grin plastered across his muzzle. .

"I know what that is! Mom brought me some! I beat all my personal records!" Muko exclaimed, meaning 'Yes, I would love some.' He turned in a tight circle, excited at the thought of sinking his teeth into one of the sugary roots.
Kiki laughed. "You know I haven't done this in a while, Jamall!" she called after her mate, then proceeded to chase him. She still found it difficult to run on ground not shaded by hundreds of trees, but was trying her best to adapt to it.

"Then here, you can have half of it!" Keirgo said, padding over to a cub-sized pile of the sweet stuff and gesturing towards it with his paw.
Jamall just grinned when he heard his mate's call. Still, he was not a lion without mercy, and so, he slowed his pace a fair amount so that she could catch him easily.

Tullus laughed and picked her up which made her mew louder. "Shhh....Keilie... " Kisses her head and holds her close.
