It was fun, yes. But way too many complications....made me way too stressed all week to fully enjoy myself.

Hate to burst everyone's bubbles, but I had only a little fun....way too much stress.
To start off my trip, my travel agent was in Disney herself when I went in to pick up the papers. The girl who she left stuff with gave me the packet. I didn't see the plane tickets in there, and asked about it...I was told the confirmation number was all I needed to get on the plane. Fast forward to the airport, where they denied boarding us!!!!! We had to REPURCHASE THE TICKETS to board the flight, plus pay a $50 per person "lost ticket surcharge" to convert them to e-tickets. You got it, folks, my father-in-law had to charge about $1800 that we already paid to get on the plane. AAA was no help, they told us we'd just have to do it and get reimbursed later. Luckily, the flight was delayed anyhow...a flight attendant decided not to show, and they would not leave until they found a replacement.
At the parks, 7 rides broke down WHILE WE WERE ON THEM! Yes, you heard it right. The one we filed a complaint for... "Dinosaur" in Animal Kingdom broke down twice on the same ride. The first time, a dinosaur jumped out at my 5 year old, and then the entire power shorted out. Yes, lights, and everything. We were in the dark, literally, for 10 minutes. The ride finally starts again, and the lights go back on, and it happened again. This time another 5 minutes sitting in the dark. Again, right after having a dinosaur jump out. My 5 year old was freaking out, crying, wondering where in the dark the dinosaur was. Bad enough she was already afraid of the dark. When we complained, we were ushered to the exit. My son found out the ride had to be rebooted twice... We finally complained to ride inspectors that happened to be wandering nearby. They got guest relations to give us some fast passes. (Which, on a good note, one was used to get good seats at "Festival of The Lion King.") But, other than that, the "Star Wars" ride in Hollywood Studios broke, "Pooh" in Magic Kingdom, as well as "The Carousel of Progress" broke. Other rides, too, but i just can't remember, there were so many. On another good note, I skipped "It's a Small World"....my in-laws took Kenzie on. (My son claimed the ride is the equivalent of Hell...and you can't pay me enough to ride.) Well, anyhow, someone who went to the airport with us said a family member got stuck on that, broken, in one area for FOUR HOURS! Someone else had Space Mountain break while they were on it, and one unfortunate soul was stuck UPSIDE DOWN on the Aerosmith coaster for over 10 minutes. Ouch!
Most of the in between stuff went ok.
The horror continued on the return home day, where Disney checked us into our flight....and placed my husband and son (same name) in the same seat! We didn't get it straightened out until just as the shuttle bus was ready to leave. We were late, and lost track of time, and almost missed our flight home.
I do have to say the hotel was a magical experience. Animal Kingdom Lodge is a wonderful setting where animals roam over the hotel grounds. Our sit down meals were fabulous. The tea party was unforgettable. And my daughters were happy with the Princess Storybook Dinner in Epcot. And we did enjoy the rides...the ones that didn't break down, that is.

WOW, that really bites. To hear that so many rides had troubles if socking! Yes they have a lot of rides to take care of, but DARN. Come on Disney get with it. They should have an appropriate number of mechanics to the number of rides. I herd they have underground tunnels to get around, it sound like they should live there, somewhere in the depths of hell. At least they give you something good as compensation for your troubles. Unlike Dorney, they give you a coupon for a free drink if you get stuck on a ride, ya! Now that you are back, I can tell you I have herd some horror stories about people getting hurt at Disney. They have a good PR crew, so most never hear about those things.
If you ever go back, maybe then you be able to enjoy yourself. At least you have the memories, they last longer then stress, lol.
