Jiang took a mental note of what the others wanted, as he wasn't enthusiastic enough to get a notepad or a piece of paper to take it down on. He turned to Tigress after listening to the others. "What about you, what do you want, Tigress?" [Last post 'till Vitani's return.]

When Jiang looked for Tigress, she was gone. He paused for a moment, then realized that Li had escorted her into the ship to her quarters. Soon enough, Li's first mate was on deck and coming to gather the others as well. Jiang sighed and shrugged, then turned and walked off towards the Inn to get the food.
[Li's a temp, going away after this post. Here simply to help things along.] "And here you are, Ma'am. You're quarters. I'm afraid you'll have to pick one of your compatriots to share the room with, as there are only two other avalible rooms, and it's going to be very difficult to squeeze you all in. Oh well. At least there are two seperate beds. I'll arrange for a privacy screen to be brought in to seperate the two beds." Li said warmly, after having escorted Tigress below the deck of his ship and to the three guest quarters. He opened the door to her quarters, which were surprisingly well decorated and clean. Not unlike her own room back in the Valley of Peace. The older Snow Leopard gave her a broad, jovial smile and crossed his arms. "Well, I best be off. I need to get your friends settled in as well." The Leopard added, turning and heading down the hall to the stairs leading up top.
*Several minutes later* Balancing several bowls on a tray in his right hand and a wicker basket filled with his own meal and Monkey's almond cookies, along with some Tofu for Tigress, Jiang made his way back to the ship were Crane and Monkey were still waiting for a room to be found for them. "I've got some food, as requested." He said, smiling at the two masters as he walked up to them.

The four master smiled and took their food. "Thanks, Jiang," said Viper. "You're the best."
"So when are we setting sail?" asked Mantis.
"Yeah," agreed Crane. "I'm getting sea sick and we havn't even left yet."

"Patience is the mastery of the victorious warrior," came Tigress' voice as she joined the others on deck, having foregone supper to inspect the ship thoroughly for the assurance it was up to standard. Her hands clasped behind her back and the usually hardened, stoic expression cast across her face, she half bowed to the others in a respectfully casual greeting. Jiang was met with a calm, if not disapproving glance. She still felt unsure about the unaccquainted guest. Having to fight alongside one whose skill and discipline were unseen by her eyes made her think not lesser of the other tiger, but concerned for him and her friends. If he cannot hold his own, she thought, then the mission would be jeopardized by their need to save him. The topic was soon altered when her attention was redirected toward the others. "The quarters are small and we will have to double-up," she informed while pulling a chair out for herself to sit on. "We will have to decide who will share which rooms."

Jiang looked over at Tigress as he sat down on a crate. His mind very nearly drifted to thoughts of what Africa would be like, when she began speaking again. So they'd have to double-up, eh? That would be interesting, in a odd sort of way. "All right." He said, as he thought about who he'd like to have to share a room with. He decided that he didn't care, so long as his room mate didn't really mind having to stay quiet for a few hours every night, when he wrote in his diary. To him, the biggest matter would be the room itself. It needed to be fairly large, and the bunk needed to be comfortably large as well. He wasn't a small Tiger, after all. "It doesn't matter to me, so long as I don't end up with a pathetically small bed." He said, chuckling very softly at the end.

Tigress raised her plate of tofu along with chopsticks in her free paw. She wasn't sure who had brought it, but considering it was the only dish untouched, figured it was for her. That fact naturally left any thanks from her out of the equation. "Then you can stay with me. I do not require much space," she said rather pointedly, lifting a chunk of the tofu up between the small wooden sticks to examine it. "A warrior learns to live in the barest essentials, regardless how modest," is her response in a dry tone. Did she just take a jab at the other tiger? I believe she did! The bite of tofu is eaten and she flicks an ear toward Jiang.

A amused smile tugged at the corner of Jiang's mouth. He was half tempted to inform her that after living with nothing for seven years he felt he had earned a warm bed, but he stayed his tongue. "All right, thank you." He replied, his voice calm, if somewhat distant. He looked down at his own meal, still sitting in the wicker basket. It was little more than several ricecakes. Since he didn't have to really worry about them getting cold, he opted to eat them later. "Well, I'll be below deck if anyone needs me." He said quietly, standing up and walking downstairs. He headed towards the shared quarters, where one of the crewmen pointed out which room Tigress would share with him. He entered the room, occupied the smaller half, and sat down at the simple old wooden desk tucked into a corner, after taking several scrolls out of his pack. The Tiger began reading through the scrolls, which were his Master's journals of visits to africa. He figured that the knowledge in the scrolls would prove useful at some point.

After completion of a quiet meal aside from idle chatter regarding their destination amongst the other four, Tigress stood from her place to retire. A bit of meditation and sleep, she thought, would make this trip go by a lot faster. Not that she disliked the sea, on the contrary. She simply didn't care much for sailing on them. Below deck she made her way to the door that was sanctioned as her and how Jiang's quarter. Reaching for the handle to slide the thin door open, she paused when noticing candlelight illuminating the room from the meager space between the base of the entrance and the oak wooden floor. Recoiling her paw, she pursed her lips thoughtfully for a moment and moved closer to the door, raising an ear to it to see if she could hear anything from inside besides the sounds of scrolls being rustled.

Jiang had gone through one of the Journals while the Furious Five ate, and had now gone from that to writing in his diary. He sighed and stopped writing for a moment, his eyes closed and a pained expression on his face. He opened his eyes and went back to writing a moment later, after having collected his thoughts. I am extremely puzzled by this Shifu's actions. Most masters would have seen to it that I had at least proved myself in a sparring match before allowing me to stay, let alone sending me on a mission. But he seems wise, I accept that he knows best. Right now I'm more concerned about Master Tigress. If I were to make a guess, I'd say she's very displeased that I'm here. It's no matter, I'm used to being scorned. It's just not a comfortable feeling, always beeing greeted with suscpicion and/or ha... Jiang stopped writing when he heard something shift behind the door of the room. He stood up, considered walking over to the door, then shrugged and stayed by the desk. "You can come in, now. " He said, crossing his arms over his bared chest.

(( My inner Tigress just went O.O lol ))
A smirk slid over her muzzle briefly. It wasn't as though she'd made a fantastic effort to be the stealthly feline, but that he was paying at least that much attention amused her. With a clearing of her throat, she regained the disciplined look on her face. The door slid open not long after the permission was offered and in she stepped, sliding the door closed behind her. "I wasn't sure if you were engaged in something I shouldn't interrupt," she offered dutifully, raising her chin some. "I heard scrolls and thought you might be working on something." For good reason did she allow her eyes to inspect the other. His build was tough; rigid and lean, as she would expect one to maintain in the practice of the martial arts. Would she comment on else? Likely not. Some thoughts could be exploited as weakness, she thought of long ago, and are better left undiscussed.

[Lol] Jiang nodded, then glanced over at his Diary scroll, which he had rolled up before she opened the door. "Yes, I was looking over my master's journals from his trip to Africa. And I was writing in my diary." He replied with a shrug. He wondered if he should ask why she had been listening to him, as he suspected that the reason she gave him was only half-true, but he opted against it. Jiang uncrossed his arms and flexed his right shoulder, whinching slightly as a bolt of pain raced up and down his arm. There was a knot in his back muscles that needed to be worked out. He sighed and shook his head slightly. It was going to be one of the harder ones to get himself.

She stood before him, her own arms crossed over her chest and her head tilted at such an angle to denote interest, though only enough to sustain her attention. Until his wince is seen, that is. An eyebrow raised in response. "Sore muscles?" She inquired, perhaps a little surprising that particular fact might hold more precedence than the information on the scrolls. She smirked in a fashion that could be considered condenscending, though with her it was never easy to tell just what truth lay behind the exterior. She closed the already modest gap between them quickly and took hold of the wrist of his sore arm. "Face away," she suggested.. or ordered, whichever word might be chosen, turning his arm behind his back and locking out his elbow gently. "Master Shifu used to get on me constantly about not stretching properly before exercises," she detailed, using her free paw to knead his broad shoulder with her claws in acupressure points, using a rarely taught chi-gong method of tui-na massage.

Jiang nodded and complied with her suggestion, facing away from her. He relaxed his muscles as she set to work, closing his eyes as Tigress kneaded his shoulder. It hurt at first, then as time went on it felt very good. He had to admit, he enjoyed the massage she was giving him. It relaxed him greatly. "I had the same problem when I was younger. I was always too eager to get into training." He replied, placing his free hand on a support beam that was located conviently near him to brace himself. "I daresay I still have that problem." He added with a soft chuckle.

"I should show you some simple stretches, then," she offered, her voice never softening. "Soreness could mean failure if in combat and if we were called to this place, chances are combat is what we will find." Does she ever think about anything else? Her paws' attention changed from his arm to his upper back, expertly locating and setting to work on the toughest spots. While she worked to soothe him, her eyes wandered to the sheathed katana that was in his posession. She studied it in silent thought for a brief moment before inquiring, "That's a pretty magnificent weapon. Is there story behind that, too?"

"I might need to take you up on that offer, Tigress." He said, glancing over his shoulder at her. Jiang sighed softly and happily as Tigress's attention shifted to his upper back. He'd sleep like a baby after this. He listened to her inquire about his Katana, and he would have shrugged in response had her paws not been kneading his back. "Well, it was a gift from my Master, Yi-Shan. For my sixteenth birthday. It's one of the last three swords produced by the master Swordmaker Hitachi, from Japan. It's said to have the spirit of a dragon bound to the blade. I don't know if I beleive that myself, though. But it's a fine sword nonetheless."
