I get the absolute joy of seeing (and *gasp* owning) every Disney movie known to man. Thanks to my kids.

Ouch. At Disney DVD prices. that must come out to a ton lol. As long as you instill in them that the originals are and always will be the best, then it's all good

My older kids have already figured that out. Unfortunately, the 4 year old insists on movies, no matter how horrible they are. Although, I guess the 3rd Cinderella wasn't all too horrible. Certainly better than the 2nd one! *ugh* Disney should be shot for the second one. But, at least they did OK with the TLK sequels.

Being shot would seem tame compared to the fate that would of awaited Disney, had they messed up any TLK sequel.

Just watched TLK 1 1/2 today, probably about the third time I've seen it. To be honest, it was better and funnier than I remembered I've never been the biggest fan of Simba's Pride, believing the presentation was a bit cheesy at many parts and didn't feel Lion King-ish in flavor (mainly with older characters like Simba, Rafiki, and Zasu), but still above the par when it came to Disney sequels. I preferred the humor in 1 1/2 and the revisiting of all the old places in the movie. What was odd, though, was I was going into it expecting to be reminded of how superior the original Lion King was, but finished it happily surprised. I think what made me like it more was the fact that it was more tied to the first movie than the second one was (and the integration was hilarious). I thought I remembered more songs in it though... Simba's Pride delivered a few good ones (We Are One being a classic born of a sequel) but 1 1/2? Meh, Before the Hyena Comes or whichever it's called didn't quite cut it for a memorable hit. Overall, though, two thumbs up from me! Still my middle-of-the-road movie in the Lion King trilogy ;D And considering the greatness of the Lion King, "middle of the road" ain't bad at all!

Overall, though, two thumbs up from me! Still my middle-of-the-road movie in the Lion King trilogy ;D And considering the greatness of the Lion King, "middle of the road" ain't bad at all! Well, I agree with you on the part that it is a great TLK movie in its own right but saying that it was more tied into the first movie than the second movie was and saying that's why TLK2 maybe lacked in that department isn't quite fair. TLK 1 1/2 was meant to be a direct tie in to the first movie, while TLK2SP wanted to pick up where the first movie left off so of course it's not going to be as connected to the first movie because they wanted to tell a whole new one rather than a re-hash of the first movie like TLK 1 1/2 did. TLK2SP did it's fair share of tying into the first movie also though. The whole Scar/Zira issue, Kovu's ties to Scar and of course Simba's inability to let go of the past. TLK 1 1/2 was a good movie but as far as being a true sequel, it couldn't be counted as. A good Imbetweenquel / behind the scenesquel lol. Not trying to step on your opinions though Just had to state mine as well. ^^

I just watched this movie again today actually. ^^ Going back watching this movie, the full length over again since a few months ago was something! I've been laughing more during the funny scenes and it seems that whenever you watch a movie the 2nd or 3rd time it gets funnier for some reason. It might just be me but, I really enjoyed watching this movie all over again and who doesn't like the, "Snail Eating" contest! ^^ That's my favorite scene throughout this entire movie and I'm surprised that you don't really get grossed out from the things they eat. Here are two of my favorite "Teen Simba" facial expressions! ^^ I can find myself watching this movie again when my place is quiet and my parents or brothers won't disturb me. ^^

My favorite part was where Pumbaa sits on the remote and switches it over to the Home Shopping Network.

I did not like this movie one bit. The stops from Timon and Pumbaa were a little annoying; I can't stand timon very much, or pumbaa. Still, zazu bites more than 10 of the two combined.

Ugh. Okay, a plus is that it has Adult Simba (*swoon*), but I don't like Timon. He might be funny, but he has a huge ego and the way Pumbaa just listens to what he says is annoying. My mom thinks it's better than TLK2SP, buuut... it doesn't have any Kovu, so they can't compare! Plus it doesn't have any songs - the Before the Hyena Comes song was SO annoying. I mean, it's a nice song and all, but when the meerkats stopped and looked left and right, it was really stupid.

If you're going for slapstick comedy this is terrific... but if you're going for a good storyline with comedy thrown in like I was, then you'll be disappointed. I didn't like it as well. Lion King 1 was the best Disney movie ever, Lion King II wasn't as good, but still good.

Ok, this movie so did NOT suck; it was funny and when I first saw the preview I couldn't wait for it to come out! After all, the Lion King's still the Lion King right? And I agree with your mom Mandy it was better than TLK 2. Plus, in the sequel they could've at least put a little backstory on Kopa. I didn't even know he existed until looking over some fan sites.
